We are family owned and operated. We specialize in mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, winterizing, fertilizing, seeding. We do bark chips, bark dust, river rock, gravel, pea gravel. We also do pavers, flagstone, patios, water features and sod. During the winter months we do snow removal on pathways, side walks, roofs, and driveways.

"Dan and his team did a fantastic job for us. The area around our cabin was exceptionally clean and clear of pine needles when his crew was finished. He provided a reasonable quote on the project quickly and was able to complete the work within days of the original request for a bid. At its core, soil pH is a measure of how many hydrogen ions are present in your soil. In highly acidic soil (low pH), plant growth is difficult due to reduced microbial availability in the dirt.

In highly alkaline soil, plants may struggle to grow due to iron deficiencies. In either case, a lack of balance deprives grass or plants of some key nutrients they need to grow.

A pH reading of 6 to 7.5 is ideal for most plants. Slight acidity is, generally speaking, less of an issue than slight alkalinity. Many plants can still thrive in slightly acidic soil.

When your sod is new, you should keep an eye on it to prevent dehydration. As new sod plants its roots into the soil beneath it, it can easily get dehydrated and start to turn brown. Keeping a consistent watering schedule for your new sod will help prevent this issue and will help it thrive as it roots into your yard.

Once your sod is about six weeks old, you can start to establish a regular lawn maintenance routine, complete with mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
