Small jobs welcome

"In addition to our weekly lawn maintenance and property grooming, we have been very pleased with Enriqueâ s services in the following: designing/setting/laying pavers for our walkway, repairing several water leaks in our lawn, cleaning out rain gutters, clearing out an abandoned rental property, removing blackberry bushes, and building a handicapped accessible ramp. He has been willing to take on various projects that have come up. He has demonstrated adaptability and willingness to acquire the skills and knowedge to perform whatever tasks requested and reaches out to resources to ensure the work he does is professional and properly done. We have discussed potential future projects including but not limited to painting and drywalling. As we continue to assess different tasks needing attention, Enrique is the first person we think of. Enriqueâ s strong work ethic is even demonstrated when he sees something needs to be done to ensure safety for the public. On one occasion, he removed the wet leaves that had fallen on the sidewalk from a neighborâ s tree. Residents in the area who walked the path expressed thanks since the leaves made the walkway slippery. We have been pleased with his dependabilty and performance and highly recommend him."

"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While eco-friendly decking, also called composite decking, is a win for the environment because it consists of recycled materials, it has trade-offs. These sustainable options often come with steeper price tags, lack natural wood's warm look, and can become uncomfortably hot under full sun. Some composite materials can also become slick when wet, posing a potential hazard.

The “best” material is in the eye of the beholder, as each common decking material boasts its pros and cons. Poured concrete is the best budget-friendly option, but composite wood brings high-grade aesthetics without breaking the bank. Wood is the most traditional material, but it requires more maintenance than some other materials. In other words, do your research before settling on a deck material to find the one that’s best for your pool.

The life expectancy of deck boards varies widely based on the material, climate, and maintenance. Untreated wood boards typically last 10 to 30 years with proper care, while pressure-treated boards can last up to 50 years. Hardwoods generally outlast softwoods. Composite boards also tend to last longer than natural wood. Environmental factors like arid or humid climates can shorten a deck's lifespan. To extend the life of wood decking, it's important to consistently clean and seal it to protect against moisture, UV light, and insects.

Cutting the boards directly is one of the fastest ways to remove deck boards with hidden fasteners. Mark two parallel lines that are one-third of the total measurement on both ends and cut out the centerpiece. Then, remove the end of the board that doesn’t have a fastener. Finally, pry open the fastened side and pull it up to pop out the screw or access the fastener. This also allows you to salvage portions of boards for other projects.

A deck doesn’t have to be perfectly level. Many pros even recommend a gentle slope to ensure proper drainage and increase longevity. The ideal gentle slope is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch per foot away from the property, leading water away from the home to prevent pooling and reduce the risk of damage. It also minimizes rot, mold, and other moisture-related problems.
