"I initially hired Bill to regrade/reslope my property to fix a drainage problem, but ended up hiring him to strip my hill of kudzu and put in retaining walls. Great to work with, excellent work performed, great value for the entire project. I got three times the work for roughly the same price another landscaping company was going to charge for only one part of the project. I plan to use Bill's services again when I'm ready to do the next two phases of my yard improvement projects."

"I have very hard water and wanted a unit installed. I called Ecowater Northwest because they were local and had excellent ratings on Angie's List. Aaron came to my house, answered all my questions, tested my water and recommended the two units I had installed. Dave did the installing and did an excellent job. I am very happy with the results and would recommend them to anybody that needs this type of service."

We make it our goal to ensure that our finished projects and customer experience reflects our values. A story about the Owner, "When I was younger, my uncle Stan owned a roofing company in Southwest Idaho.. He used to give me a hundred bucks per roof (a lot of money to a 15-16 year old kid in rural Idaho) to show up after school and on weekends to tear off a roof. As time went on, I learned more about how to install underlayment, how shingles overlap, the basics. I learned the value of hard work at a young age and began to understand the importance of skilled labor in the Workforce. During the years after College I found myself with the opportunity to work in Customer Service, Sales, and eventually supervision, and found a knack for sales, as well as training and motivating people. That experience has been invaluable in working with owners and clients, as well as to our overall success." Dillon Stringfield (29) Stringfield Roofing intends to make a positive difference in the community and keep customers dry, safe and happy for years to come.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.

The best way to unclog a bathtub drain is to pour a pot of boiled water down the drain, being careful not to splash yourself. However, take precautions, as boiling water can damage PVC pipes and joints. Follow up with ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar. Cover the drain with a small sink plunger and let it sit for 15 minutes. Pour boiling water down the drain again and replace the drain stopper.

Grease buildup, tree roots, and foreign objects often cause blockages. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.

There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. This includes cleaning the drain line at least every three months, changing the filter every one to three months, and getting your AC serviced annually. Also, if any problems arise with your AC, hire an HVAC technician to deal with them ASAP.
