(The competitor's representative was two hours late and failed to call, so we didn't let him in the door.) The workers arrived as scheduled and completed the job in three days, as promised. They cleaned up every day, and the new bathroom looks fantastic. We were so satisfied that we asked them to replace the floor in our main bathroom. Unfortunately, they said the job was "too small," and they were fully booked through January."

"We recently had a great experience with Home Heating and
Cooling and highly recommend them. We bought our ?dream house? in Bend about a year ago and were interested in adding whole-house humidifiers to our two furnaces. The proposal we got from the company that had been servicing the house was so high that we shelved the project.
After doing some research both regarding humidifiers and HVAC companies I contacted Home Heating and Cooling. We made an appointment with Ric, the owner. We got a reminder call the day before, and Ric showed up ready to roll. He setup a high-tech air analyzer that ran for a half hour in our kitchen then produced a detailed air quality report for us. He listened carefully to us then did a very thorough inspection of our system, including photographing the insides of our ducts and measuring air flow.
 His proposal for humidifiers was about half the price of our other quote. He also honored a 5% discount from Angie?s List even though it wasn?t on the site when we placed our order. The humidifiers we got are more appropriately sized for our system, and more energy efficient compared to our other proposal. Ric noticed that although our furnace was capable of dual-stage operation it was setup as a single stage system. The easy to use wi-fi enabled thermostat that was installed enabled our dual stage capability which increases comfort, helps with the humidification, and is more energy efficient. The new thermostats also automatically control humidification as appropriate for the current weather conditions.
 The technicians that did the work were all excellent. They showed up on time, parked their trucks so that they didn?t block our driveway, wore sanitary booties when they came in the house, and worked hard. They were very pleasant to be around and really knew their stuff.
 We told Ric that our master bathroom was colder than the rest of the house. For a very reasonable fee the ductwork under our house was reorganized to provide a larger more direct duct leading to the bathroom. Although this substantially increased the air flow it wasn?t enough. I called Ric and told him that we were very pleased with the new humidifiers, thermostats, and dual stage operation but that we still wanted more heat in the bathroom. It was the morning of Christmas Eve, and I told him it wasn?t an emergency but that we still wanted to try to improve the heat in the bathroom.
 Ric responded by sending two of his guys out immediately to work on the bathroom ducting. They removed the new ducting they had previously installed and replaced it with an even bigger duct and did some additional work which took a few hours to complete. The airflow into the bathroom is now dramatically higher than it was and the temperature is great even in very cold weather. There was no additional charge for this work.
We couldn?t be happier with our experience. Everything works perfectly.
