"Vortex Filtration Inc is a excellent company with vast experience & knowledge in conditioning potable well water. I recommend Vortex Filtration Inc to design build and install their patented Vortex water system to solved all well water conditioning issues. My client had a problem for over tens years prior to the installation of the Vortex system. Once installed, the well water in the holding tank was crystal clear. Thanks Vortex!"

With 20+ Years combined industry experience and 4+ years in business, Stringfield Roofing is an excellent choice for your Central Oregon roofing needs. Specializing in residential, small commercial, full replacements, repairs, new construction, and additions, Stringfield Roofing can handle it all. We've worked hard in hiring, on-the-job training , and in continuing education to instill a culture that prioritizes Quality over quantity, as well as safety, customer service, communication, and cleanliness. We make it our goal to ensure that our finished projects and customer experience reflects our values. A story about the Owner, "When I was younger, my uncle Stan owned a roofing company in Southwest Idaho.. He used to give me a hundred bucks per roof (a lot of money to a 15-16 year old kid in rural Idaho) to show up after school and on weekends to tear off a roof. As time went on, I learned more about how to install underlayment, how shingles overlap, the basics. I learned the value of hard work at a young age and began to understand the importance of skilled labor in the Workforce. During the years after College I found myself with the opportunity to work in Customer Service, Sales, and eventually supervision, and found a knack for sales, as well as training and motivating people. That experience has been invaluable in working with owners and clients, as well as to our overall success." Dillon Stringfield (29) Stringfield Roofing intends to make a positive difference in the community and keep customers dry, safe and happy for years to come.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Drain clearing removes debris and clogs from drain pipes enough to allow water to drain properly. On the other hand, drain cleaning removes all of the material from the pipe so that water flows unrestricted, which is a longer-term solution. Your plumbing pro will be able to recommend the right service depending on the clog size, frequency of issues, and surrounding pipework.

Food grease, soap buildup, paper products, and tree roots often cause serious clogs.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

Regrading your yard can often fix drainage problems. You can also try aerating the lawn to encourage better drainage or install a new drainage system to prevent water from pooling in certain areas.
