"Thank you for the nice review. It was a challenging job but I believe you're set for a very long time!"
"Thanks for the review. There were a few pick up items to do but this owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. The roofing industry has it's challenges but good people make it so much easier."
"Thanks for taking a moment to provide a review. We were stretched pretty thin at that time but we're pretty particular and don't want to hire just anyone to get the work done. It may have taken a little longer but the work was done to our standards. Thanks for using our company!"
"Thank you for taking a moment to review our company!"
"Thanks for taking a moment to review our company. Regarding the rudeness toward your renter, the lead shingler on your job has a very "dry" sense of humor which is easily taken the wrong way at times. I did speak to him about this though so he is aware of it. Scheduling has also been very frustrating on our end. This year has seen massive dry rot issues which slows things immensely and makes rescheduling very difficult, so your patience was appreciated. Thank you for choosing us to replace your roof and for your candid review on Angie's List!"
"Thanks for taking a moment to provide a review, much appreciated!"
"This person has us confused with another company. We have absolutely no record of any work done for this address or owner."
"Your review here is appreciated."
"Thanks for taking a moment to review our company. Scheduling gets pretty tough in the winter as we never know how much rain we'll get. Glad it all worked out and you have a new roof going into the new year."
"Thanks for the review."
"Your review of us here and kind words are very much appreciated!"
"Thanks for choosing us!"
"I enjoyed my interaction with this homeowner and the tenant as well. Timing was tough sometimes as the owner lives on the East coast but I must say the new tile roof looks stunning!"
Overall, I was extremely pleased with this company. The office staff, estimator and roofers were all very professional and friendly. The roof looks great. Clean-up was thorough.
"Appreciate the glowing review."
"I met personally with this homeowner to take a look at the “issues” some other contractor pointed out. I will detail them here so there is clarity as to the veracity of the items mentioned. We installed this roof 16 years ago. 1) The leak at the bottom of the valley did exist. I told the owner that maybe it could have used a little more attention to detail when initially roofed. I offered, on a 16 year old roof, to not only re-shingle that area but also the valley on the other side as they are similar, at no charge. I also offered to fix the sheet rock in the garage as well, at no charge. The step flashing “not replaced” the owner refers to, sits two feet back under a low overhang and has not seen a drop of water since the house was built. This was NOT the cause of the leak. 2) The chimney flashing was replaced and step flashed properly. We used a soldered galvanized one-piece flashing as the builder decided to put the chimney right in the middle of the back valley. It has some surface rust but does not leak and will easily last as long as the roof. 3) The skylight is properly flashed and has a soldered galvanized back pan. The paint is peeling on this, it was not a reused one. 4) The head wall flashing was reused as it was painted and had no rust. The windows sit very low on this flashing. The decision was made to reuse it simply because we would have had to remove the window trim, siding, window seal and so forth. Head wall flashing is reused by many contractors if it is in good condition and will last through the next roof cycle. 5) There is a 3 foot section of plywood that has a small buckle and is easily repaired, not the whole roof. 6) The pipe flashings were installed new, not used, and the rubber boots are simply wearing out after 16 years. River Roofing does their best to install a roof that will go the distance and has never been interested in cutting corners. Have we ever made a mistake in 43 years of roofing? Of course, we are human, but reputable contractors do all they can to fix those mistakes in an effort to maintain satisfied customers. I’m very disheartened that the homeowner was initially thrilled that we would take care of these things but then writes this type of review only a week later. We wish this homeowner the best with their future roofing contractor. John Davey, V.P."
"Thanks for the review!"
