Customers say: True professional

"These guys are quick, capable, and very courteous. When I called they came by the same day to examine and measure. I told them what I wanted and they gave me a very fair price. They were here the next morning to remove the old fence, haul it off, and set the new poles in concrete. They came back the next morning and hung my fence. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend these guys to anyone."

"They measured the area and I tried to get neighbor hood association to agree to a new black chain link fence, but it was not approved. Had to put in a high cost rod iron fence. Trent Jones was very patient while I went through the process. I decided on the three inch spacing rod iron fence. The material was ordered and the work began. They constructed the fence in two days and finished up the gates a day later.

They have followed up to be sure all was in good order and I feel I got a great value for my dollar. The other estimates I was offered was over 25% higher. Great workmanship and a great value; hard to better that.
Both Trent and Rick run a great company. You can contact them at 405-481-6866 web site OKFenceStaining.com E-mail [email protected]

"Jared came to our house to look at our property and prepare the estimate.  We had a total of 4 estimates.  He was the only owner that promised to be there during the construction of the fence and not just drop off a crew.  Since we contacted him during the late rainy spring, it took several weeks  to get on his schedule but that was to be expected.   It was worth the wait. The fence was built onsite which was helpful with the slope on our property.  It is a very sturdy 6 ft cedar fence with sturdy gates.  It was done in 2-3 days with all mess cleaned up.  Jared is a professional and his workers are very nice.  I would highly recommend Jared and Prime Fencing.

"They arrived one hour before the time I asked for them to arrive, but I had no problem with that this time. They had a problem with the entry gate routine which I had explained to them, but I let them in by walking to the gate and using my remote. They installation was completed in less than one hour, and the work was excellent. Their cleanup was excellent as well.

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.

Yes, clean regularly, lubricate hinges or tracks, and inspect for damage to ensure smooth operation.

Installing a gate on your property is often a worthwhile investment, despite the initial expense. Gates enhance your home's curb appeal and can increase its property value, making them more attractive to potential homebuyers. They provide significant security benefits by keeping out unwanted guests and increasing privacy for your household. Additionally, a gate can help keep children and pets safely contained in your yard.

For driveway gates, automatic versions are particularly convenient and tend to add more value than manual ones. The choice of gate material also plays a role in both aesthetic appeal and security. Beyond driveways, side gates can improve accessibility to your rear yard, making the outdoor space more usable. Overall, whether for security, safety, or aesthetics, installing a gate is a valuable addition to a property.

The best direction for a gate to swing depends on its location and purpose, but swinging inward is the general rule. An inward swing is often considered safer, prevents the gate from opening into public spaces like a sidewalk, and may be required by local building codes.

There are exceptions and specific considerations. If your property is on a slope, an inward swing might not be possible. For a deck gate, it's safest to have it swing away from any steps. In a backyard, the direction can be a matter of preference, though an inward swing can be helpful when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

Regardless of direction, ensure the gate can open fully without hitting any objects or blocking spaces. While an inward swing is standard, a gate that can swing both in and out offers the most flexibility if your setup allows for it.

In most cases, you will need a permit to install a new driveway or property gate. An exception might be if you are simply replacing an existing gate. Before issuing a permit, your local municipality may require a site plan or survey to verify property lines and prevent encroachment on a neighbor's property. Permits for a gate typically cost under $100. Be aware that corner properties may have additional restrictions on gate height or style. It's wise to confirm permit requirements with your local building department or your gate installation company, which can usually handle the entire permitting process for you.
