Transition strips prevent trips and falls and make the transition from each room appear seamless. They are also often used to even out height differences between floors.

Yes. When installed properly, the strong adhesive on carpet tiles keeps them in place while also allowing homeowners the flexibility to peel up an individual tile and replace it if they need to. It’s important to keep in mind that the adhesive on your carpet tiles may take some time to cure, so it’s best to leave them alone for a couple of days after you first install them.

The fastest way to remove carpet is to remove carpet in strips instead of trying to remove it in one large piece. Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.
