"Brandon was on time and went above and beyond to make things at our home clean and professional. We had a lot of unfinished projects that he finished for us. I would highly recommend him for all trades."

"The service worked out good. They came out and did their job. The first day, I think we had to reschedule, but once they started working, they were right on-time, got it done, and they cleaned-up after themselves. I did ask them a question to see about something else and they never got back to me about that. So, they never did a follow-up once they had completed their job. I guess they just moved on and I had two more small jobs I thought he could handle, but he never came back to follow-up on those. The price was a really good price. It was a special so it was not their normal price. It looks good."

"It was great, I'm looking at it now, it's gorgeous. The people who built it were fabulous. In terms of pricing, he was near the bottom of some of the others. He wasn’t the lowest, but he was near the bottom. In terms of the quality of the product, I couldn’t be happier. I love the quality. I would absolutely recommend them. They did a really nice job. In fact, whilst it was near the cheapest, nothing was skimped."

"We are beyond thrilled with the results of our full roof placement and the entire process! They helped coordinate all the details with our insurance adjuster so we had peace of mind that the work would be covered. Everyone was so courteous and they went to great lengths afterwards to make sure every scrap was removed. Courteous - professional - experienced - would definitely recommend!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

A board on board fence is a type of privacy fence that uses overlapping vertical boards to keep onlookers from seeing into the fenced yard. Typically made of wood, board on board fences are more expensive than other privacy fences because they use more materials and require more complex construction.

Installing a picket fence includes measuring and marking the area where you plan to build the fence, laying out all of the materials, digging post holes, setting the posts using concrete, measuring the rails, attaching the rails, attaching the pickets, and then painting or staining the fence if you chose a wooden fence material

Yes, fence posts need to be installed below the frost line to ensure stability and prevent heaving caused by freezing and thawing cycles. The frost line is the depth at which soil freezes during winter. By placing posts below this line, often around 3 to 4 feet deep or as recommended for your specific region, you reduce the risk of the ground shifting, which can lead to leaning or unstable fences. Adequate depth provides better anchoring and helps maintain the fence's integrity, ensuring it remains secure and upright throughout changing seasons.

Vinyl and chicken wire are two of the best and most affordable materials for a DIY garden fence. Vinyl is a great option because it is cost-effective, easy to work with, and effective at keeping pests out. A vinyl fence can cost as little as $15 per linear foot, especially if you install it yourself. Chicken wire is even more budget-friendly, costing as little as $2 per linear foot. While chicken wire is more affordable, vinyl is a better choice if privacy is a concern. You can also add chicken wire on top of a vinyl fence for extra security.

You should stain both sides of your fence to get the full benefits. Fences often fall along property lines, so you may want to save a buck by leaving your neighbor’s side in the dust. If you do that, all you get is a slightly better view. Moisture and UV rays can still sneak in through the side that’s unpainted or worn down and damage your fence. Rot and rust will spread, even if you can’t see it from your side of the lawn.
