"Provider showed up on time even on icy roads. He was courteous and efficient - going to work right away. The job, albeit not large, took only 4 hours and included covering all furniture and taping off all trim. His work was outstanding. I would not hesitate to use Tulsa Christian Bros again - they provide an amazing value in home painting!

"This was a pricey job. He did not follow up. I left a voice mail asking him to come by to look at the back gutter job. No response to my message. Then I received a nasty voice mail that he would take me to court for nonpayment. If he had taken the time to talk, he would have learned that his staff had my email address wrong. I helped them correct it and I sent the check that week. He would have learned that the job was not completed which it remains to this day."

"I had a standard gate on my 6' privacy fence. We had a storm with strong winds and gate was pushed so hard it ripped the picket with the latch off. This was a chronic issue with the wind. They removed the old gate and built a new gate design that was much stronger and dependable. great work."

Small jobs welcome

"They had their work cut out for them......it was an uneven door and took a lot of extra time to get it done, but they did it and did a fine job. There was a little bit of plaster that chipped, but I used nail polish and got it covered up. They did an awesome job."

Patio Covers questions, answered by experts

Awnings are either fixed or retractable and can be paired with a variety of cover materials. Fixed awnings are a permanent outdoor feature of a building. These are highly durable and require ongoing maintenance. Once installed, the position of this awning cannot be changed.

Retractable awnings are more popular than fixed awnings since the cover can open and close. This allows homeowners to open and close the awning, depending on the weather. When not in use, it can be closed to allow for extra space.

The longest-lasting awning materials include vinyl, polycarbonate, and polyester for their durability and cleanability. Other materials like canvas and metal can last a long time, but may wear out faster. The key to getting the longest life from your awning material is to maintain it properly by cleaning yearly, keeping debris from gathering on it, and protecting it during stormy weather or high winds by retracting it or moving it to a protected area.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

The cheapest material for covering a tennis court is rubber or clay. Rubber needs to be installed over a concrete or asphalt base, however, which can make the project more expensive up-front (but cheaper to resurface over time). Clay courts are among the most affordable, but they aren’t the best to play on and require a lot of maintenance.

Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.
