DAVID FRIES ROOFING

This company is THE BEST in Norman for sure. They are efficient, well supervised and detail oriented. We found them personable and attentive to our concerns. They are busy, but are up front with the timing of the job…definitely WORTH THE WAIT. I have heard several horror stories about other roofers. You can’t go wrong with David Fries Roofing. He has a proven track record with us-I have used them for at least 5 roofs. I hope I don’t need another soon, but if I do, I know who to call. P.S. they clean up well and take care with the landscaping.

They installed my roof about 7 years ago. I feel they did a good job, and were good to deal with. I think they are good roofers and would recommend them. But I did have one issue. I installed expensive TAMCO heritage class 4 hail resistant shingles. Since this has happened, I have noticed that the run off from the shingles has caused any brick and concrete where the water runs off to turn black. This is a product of the shingles. I am very confident this is a product of the new shingles. The only places that turned black are where the water ran off the roof. It was not like this until after these shingles were installed. It is clear looking around the house that wherever the water drips off the new shingles it turns black and where it doesn't there is no black. This is fixable and I have been trying to clean it with a pressure washer. It does come off, but it has taken me many hours of work and i'm still not done. It even has a grainular look when it sprays off which is another indicator of shingles. The only negative I have to say is when I called them about it, they told me that it can not be the shingles. I also called TAMCO and they told me it can not be the shingles and they have never heard of it. I find that kind of interesting since today, I had a new gutter installed and the guy told me he sees this happen all they time from run off of the roof.

They've been out before to do the roof repairs a couple of times and I like them very much. His prices are much lower by far than the other estimates I've had and they've always done a good job. He shows up when he says he will and gets things done on time.

They did a good job! This was a big job, it's a big house. They had to tear it off, put on new decking and then install hail resistant and decorative shingles. They cleaned up really well and their price was competitive.

Fries was the second roofer I had come out to inspect. Showed him leak location and he inspected the area above it outside. Stated the leak is not a roof issue but is coming from the windows due to a gap in rotting trim allowing water to collect behind the exterior after a recent window replacement. A couple of shingles were not flush along a metal flange and he nailed them down free of charge. Would definitely use his services again for potential roofing issues.

Excellent service. Workers were punctual, work site was cleaned up when work was completed and absolutely no complaints.

David scheduled and completed this job ahead of projected time. There is nobody in Norman better than this company to provide a new roof. We were in a situation where my father had died and we needed to sell his house as soon as possible. David worked us into his tight and busy schedule and did an outstanding job. The installation was excellent and the clean up was thorough. I would have done a review back when this work was done but I didn't know about Angie's List at the time. Now that I'm a member I can give them a well deserved thank you. I also used David's roofing company for a small house I've been fixing up. I'm very happy with both jobs and would use his company again.

It went very well and they do a really good job. They have such a workload that they have a waiting line, though. The estimate was given on April28, 2008 and the work was done on Aug. 1, 2008. This is to replace first review to give specific details.

I am very happy with the overall experience. Michael was prompt and up-front with the estimate. The crew showed up promptly and performed the job, start to finish, in one day per property. The clean-up and appearance of the roof is very good. They are busy and you might have to wait a little longer to get the job done, but in this case patience is definitely a virtue. They have been in business in Norman for many years, highly recommend.

The guys were on time with the delivery of the quote and the start of the work. Everything was smooth and fast.

Needed my roof replaced due to a recent hail storm. Their estimator was able to get me a quote reasonably quickly. Their office was able to answer the few questions I had. They seem very busy due to the local storm damage and I was on their waiting list for about a month. Once the job began, the crew worked quickly and professionally, to a novice like myself, they seemed very experienced. I wasn't crazy over the idea of having to wait for a month for them to do my roof, but overall they were worth the wait.

I was happy with the work they did. I called them when a leak developed by my chimney. They came out and repaired this and showed me what the other company had done wrong when they had reroofed my house.

Poor overall experience; I asked for a certain color shingle that we did not get, they peeled the old shingles off did not repair all of the old boards and I now have a dip in my roof thanks to this crew.

David Fries Roofing did the work like they said. They did a really good job. I would use them again and I would recommend them to others.
