Heâ s built ramps for me, widened doors, poor concrete ramps, barn doors, Sheetrock work, custom cabinets, and completely remodeled my bathroom. All done with the utmost attention to detail and craftsmanship. Heâ s never been late, busted my budget, or been anything less than the utmost professional. I would recommend him to anyone that needs work done. Well versed and knowledgeable."

"After placing our order, communication essentially stopped. Took multiple emails and texts to try to get any updates on our order. Windows were installed well with minimal damage to surrounding finishes and installers left the areas as clean as they could. Very disappointed the windows were NOT cleaned before the installers left. A small gesture like that would have been very appreciated."

"At first Kyle seemed nice and professional, but that was only so that he could get the job, once he started working, he revealed himself to be insecure, unbalanced, and in constant need of confirmation. This was annoying primarily because Kyle substitutes saying he intends to do a good job for actually doing a good job. As it turns out, he was looking at my facial expressions as I walked about my home, dealing with and taking care of my day, and came to the conclusion that he could do nothing to make me happy. This led to a long drawn out discussion, as i tried to prevent him from walking off of the job. This was odd, made more so by the fact that I had to reassure him that my expressions were not related to the job he was doing, but rather the fact that I am a caregiver for a parent who is terminally ill. Anything that Kyle does which for most painters would be considered a good practice, like sanding, he wants to make sure that I take note, as though he were doing the extraordinary. In the end, there were paint drips on faucets, hanging art, and floors. He wanted extra money to do basic things like the placement of furniture back to its original place, and he yelled and insulted me in my own home. I would not recommend hiring this unprofessional, and unstable person and his staff of unprofessional employees. He overcharges and under delivers. He left paint on the floor, and wanted to charge me $60.00 per hour when he had to come back to do small touch-ups and corrections, after he had agreed to return to do touch-up work. A mistake was made when I hired this guy."

Fiber cement siding is one of the lowest-maintenance options. The material’s formula is resistant to insect activities, moisture, and most physical impacts. Vinyl and aluminium siding is also fairly easy to upkeep. Stucco is very challenging to DIY, so it’s always best to leave the work to professional stucco contractors. The same recommendation applies to painting a stucco house, which should be left in the reliable hands of a professional exterior painter. Inexperienced DIYers can make several critical mistakes during stucco application, such as:

  • Failing to apply sufficiently thick layers for longevity and water resistance

  • Uneven application

  • Uneven texture across the exterior

  • Mixing the stucco improperly, leaving a weak structure

  • Failing to texture properly in between coats, leading to cracking and chipping

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. Stucco can also absorb water, making it an unsuitable option for siding in areas that see excessive rainfall. Finally, stucco can crack and chip, especially in extreme weather, and repairs are not only challenging and require help from a professional who does stucco, but can get expensive.

If it is applied properly, stucco is a durable material that can last between 50 and 80 years, especially with regular repair and maintenance. Things like painting the stucco every 10 years or so will help it last longer. The location of your home plays a big part in the life span of your stucco, too.
