This was a long, l-o-n-g, project that was contracted to last for only 3 weeks but ended up taking a few weeks longer than we agreed upon. Let me also state that during the time of our contract (which was 3 weeks) there were 16 days in a row where no one showed up to do any work at all. When you contract for a 3 week job and do not show up for 16 out of 21 days is hard to finish on time. Also, punctuality is not a priority for this company! I would receive a text stating, and quot;we'll be there at 8am tomorrowand quot; and without fail they would be 45 minutes to an hour and a half late - every time. And a few times they wouldn't come at all. And on a few occasions I would be told around 12 or 1 o'clock, and quot;were going to lunch we'll be back, and quot; and they would come back at about 4 or 5 o'clock to collect their things and call it a day. If you are a stickler about your time and schedule like I am this can be a real stressor. At the end of the project, as I viewed the room, I noticed that the closet rail wasn't installed and I mentioned it. I was told, and quot;yes I have to go get that I will be here tomorrow morning to install it.and quot; Then I was quickly asked for the final payment, which I paid. I was a little worried the next day when no one came to install the closet rail....but in keeping with their professionalism they finally did install the rail, a week later. Oh yeah, I did ask of an estimate for a different project in my home before they were finished....I never heard from them again, they did me a favor!

Although the doors may open at 7am, they don't start work until 8am. two and half hours later I'm told that they have confirmed that the latch that I said was broken was in face broken and that they'd have to order the part. I approved the part order and then waited another hour for them to tell me my vehicle was ready, apparently it had been ready for quite someime; they just forgot to tell me. I was disappointed in that they wasted so much of my time without really fixing anything, and that they charged $75.00 to do a "diagnostic" on the problem. I decied to just pick the part up and install it myself, when I removed the inside door panel I discovered that several screws and nuts were missing. I returned Billingsley and showed the problem to a service/customer relations manager. He hadno real defense for the missing parts or the other indicators that $75.00 worth of work had really been done. Billingsley agreed to return the $75.00 fee. I called before the weekend for an estimate on landscape work, mostly on fence construction as a windstorm had taken down a section of fencing at the house I recently purchased. An appointment was made for 3pm today (Monday). I had wanted an appointment after 4pm so I didn't have to take time off work, but he couldn't go that late so I took two hours leave from my job to be sure I would be home when he got here at HIS suggested time of 3pm. I left work at 2pm. 3pm came and went. Around 3:20 I got a call that he was with another customer, and had been since 1:30 and and quot;should be done soonand quot; and he'd call when he left that location. When I get a message like that, I think--okay, maybe another 15 minutes, half hour the most perhaps.
Next I knew it was 4:45, almost 4:50 when I got the call. By that point I'd determined that the business I could provide 4D was not important to them if he could be almost two hours late and consider that okay. Personally I'd have been embarrassed to call and act like it was and quot;normaland quot;, which is how it seemed. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was explained he was 20 minutes away and asked if I still wanted him to come out. After thinking on it briefly I said no because I am just so tired of this kind of thing being considered acceptable by a business, especially when I have lost (and paid for) time off from work. My time is worth something as well, you know? I'd rather those hours get used for leisure, not waiting for someone who doesn't have the courtesy to show up on time or within a REASONABLE time frame. He explained that and quot;if you had been the customer, I wouldn't have left you eitherand quot; as if that somehow made it all better. That only told me I, and the business I could provide, was of no real importance to him. What it told me was that there was no backup system in place, and therefore it was better to be rude to me than to tell the person he was with that he had other appointments to keep and schedule a call-back for them, especially since it appeared they were taking up way more time than maybe they should have or at least more than that person was scheduled for--or should have been. I mean, 1:30 until almost 5pm? Some folks will do that--act like they're the only customer in the world, and refuse to and quot;yield the floorand quot;, so to speak. Was I being and quot;shoved off to the leftand quot; for someone like that and 4D didn't have the courage to speak up? Who knows.
This event told me that they are spreading personnel too thin, and I would likely encounter more problems had they actually been hired. Honestly, what other conclusion can be drawn? Already been there, done that and swore I wouldn't set myself up for that again. And all the signs today read that's exactly where this was going. It's a shame too, but thinking that being two hours late is okay is just plain disrespectful and no way to present oneself as a business person especially to a new potential client. I have a lot of work to be done around this yard over the next couple years, and I have to hire out to get it done. Their loss. I think this company needs to get a handle on their scheduling practices because now there's two hours of leave time I had wasted today by them, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who can say that. There's no second chance to make a good first impression.

The process started on a good note. The salesman was very thorough and explained to us what work needed to be done in order to make our house more energy efficient. He was the bright spot. When the work actually started, it became apparent that the laborers weren't going to live up the expectations that were set for them. They missed appointments, left huge messes in our house, garage and yard for us to clean up, cut unnecessary holes in our walls and just generally forced us to watch them like a hawk at every turn.
The initial job was supposed to take a week...it wound up taking SIX weeks. And even after that much time, we still had things that weren't completed. It was only after we contacted the BBB and Angie's List that they came back and half-heartedly tried to appease us. Sadly though, some things still remain undone or unsatisfactory to this day. But at this point, we've decided to live with these shortcomings because further visits from Pippin Brothers are unlikely to yield any real solutions. It really seemed like as soon as we paid them, they stopped trying to satisfy us.
In the end, we have a good, solid system that seems to work well and is saving us quite a bit of money monthly as compared to our old system. There are still reminders of our bad experience with Pippin Brothers that we find unsettling but have learned to live with. We saved for years to have this work done to our house. It should have been a good experience but it wasn't. Live and learn.

FAQs for real estate service projects in Lawton, OK
Yes, hiring a real estate agent is worth it. Many homeowners make the mistake of trying to sell their homes by themselves, thinking that they’ll save money on the commission, but what they save on the commission, they very often pay for in frustration and concessions on the sale price. Hiring a real estate agent to handle the sale of your home not only makes the process far easier and takes the burden off of you, but most homeowners get more for their homes when going through an agent because of the marketing and salesmanship they bring to the table.
Real estate agents work on commission, so the cost of hiring an agent will depend on the cost of the home you’re buying or selling. The listing contract should include information about the commission for both agents, which is usually 6 percent of the sale price in total or 3 percent per side. With an average national home value of around $440,000, the typical commission per agent is $13,200. However, you won’t pay this total out of pocket. Instead, the commission comes out of the sale price of the property.
Interviewing real estate agents is the best way to find the right person for the job. Consider asking the following questions to find the best agent for you:
How will you show my property?
Will you do open houses to market my home?
How will you handle dual agency (representing the buyer and you as the seller)?
Should I make repairs to my home before listing?
Will you get professional photos taken of my home?
What is the best price you think we can get for my property?
How long do you expect the sale to take?
You don’t legally need a real estate agent as a buyer, as you can represent yourself, but you should always hire an agent as a home buyer. A professional real estate agent will have access to local MLS services to find homes that meet your criteria and needs, can connect you with other professionals—like a mortgage broker and real estate attorney—you’ll need for the purchase, and can often negotiate a better price for your home to help save you money. Plus, as the buyer, your agent’s commission comes from the seller’s proceeds from the sale of the home.
