"The move was professionally done. Members of the moving team were pleasant and informative. They carefully assessed the best way to get the piano in my house. Unfortunately, an accident occurred when moving the piano out of the seller's house, leaving some gashes in the wood along the front of the piano. I was not there and the seller did not see what happened, so have no idea why the damage occurred. The company was most gracious in giving me a reduced moving fee for the damage. This should help in covering costs to try to hide the wood damage."

"I highly recommend Badger Moving company! Armando was very responsive when I reached out. He was friendly and polite and gave me a great price. Honestly, I was very nervous after hearing all of the moving company horror stories of movers cancelling, breaking things and just not caring. Armando and Osman arrived on time and ready to work. They moved me effortlessly from a 3rd floor, 2bed 2bath apartment. They were friendly and efficient. They took great care of my belongings and nothing was broken during the move. I will direct all of my friends and family to this company and should I need to move in the future, they will be the first people that I reach out to. Thanks Armando and Osman!!!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Gym equipment can be heavy, so it’s best to transport it using a furniture dolly. When dealing with treadmills, weight machines, or other bulky items, hiring professional movers or roping in some friends and renting a moving van makes sense.

No, it is vital to transport a motorcycle upright because of its battery. These batteries are typically not sealed to avoid overpressurization, so the motorcycle could leak battery acid if it lays on its side. Plus, laying it on its side for a long period of time may cause hydrolock, which is when oil leaks into the combustion chamber, making your spark plug unable to ignite the gas due to lack of air.

It can be tempting to want to help your movers as they pack or transport your belongings, but in general, most movers prefer their customers to stay out of the way. Rest assured that your movers are confident in their skills and the process will likely go faster without your help. If you see something concerning, let your movers know right away so they can adjust or remedy the issue.

Surprisingly, no! For most house moves, you can keep everything inside as is, although we’d recommend taking out any sentimental or extremely fragile items. You’ll need to fully empty your basement or crawl space, but otherwise, your home can be moved with everything intact. Your movers will also be able to provide you with further guidance.

Yes, it’s possible, but it’s important to be extremely careful, and always remove rocks and heavier hardscape items. Drain all the water from the tank, leaving just enough to keep the gravel slightly submerged to keep your bacteria alive. Then, grab a helper or two and carefully lift the tank from either side, supporting the bottom and keeping it level. If the tank is especially heavy, consider slipping plywood underneath to minimize pressure on the glass. Be sure to pack it so it stays level and doesn’t shift during transit.
