"Mr. Reese was very professional. He checked the house for necessary repairs before beginning the job and provided various options for repairs. He replaced soffits, caulked, repaired or replaced damaged wood, painted wrought iron, removed and replaced shutters, removed gutters and patched roof. He completed the job on time and at a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again."

"Excellent service. Bobby does all the work himself and does very good work. We had the misfortune of having several days of rain during the job, so the job was extended quite a bit. But, that was out of his control. The finished work looks very good and we are very pleased with the service. Bobby is very courteous and responsive.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

It is less costly to paint than wallpaper when you only consider the upfront cost. Wallpaper costs $320 to $820 when applied by a pro, while paint only costs $200 to $700 per room. However, when comparing wallpaper versus paint, consider the long-term as well. Wallpaper can save you money over time since it has a much longer life span than paint.

While some people are confident in their ability to replace concrete by drilling out the broken pieces and replacing them with bagged concrete, it’s possible to run into snags that make hiring a professional worth it. Trying to level concrete slabs can require special equipment, which can be pricey to rent and tough to operate. It's also crucial to contact your town's municipal office to ensure you are allowed to take on the project without a permit.

You should be aware of the current wallpaper and interior trends before hanging it, especially if you are planning on selling or listing your home soon. Do people in your market tend to prefer bold designs and accent walls, or does having a simpler print all over seem like a better idea? Lastly, you want something that appeals to your aesthetic preferences; hanging wallpaper is an investment of your time and money after all.

Textured or patterned vinyl wallpaper designs are the best option for hiding imperfections. Embossed designs or faux finishes like brick, wood, or linen textures are especially effective at camouflaging dents, cracks, or uneven surfaces. Avoid smooth, shiny finishes, as they can highlight flaws rather than conceal them.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.
