"Donny is great to work with and he knows how to properly irrigate a lawn. Iâ  m getting ready to get some help restoring my fescue lawn and I wanted to make sure my sprinkler system would support everyoneâ  s work. We ran each station and Donny walked into each zone to study the coverage. This was a cloudy rainy day and he told me what needed to be done in each zone as he got soaked. The amount of time it takes for grass to germinate varies depending on the grass species. Even after germination, it’s going to take a while to see grass blades start emerging from soil. Cool-season grasses tend to take the longest to germinate at one month.

Wait at least three weeks after overseeding ryegrass before breaking out the lawn mower. Mowing sooner will tear up much of the delicate, newly seeded ryegrass as it won't have established strong roots to anchor it yet.
