"Donny is great to work with and he knows how to properly irrigate a lawn. Iâ  m getting ready to get some help restoring my fescue lawn and I wanted to make sure my sprinkler system would support everyoneâ  s work. We ran each station and Donny walked into each zone to study the coverage. This was a cloudy rainy day and he told me what needed to be done in each zone as he got soaked. I had to run some errands about town, when I got back Donny explained everything he had added to improve my coverage. He changed things & added parts that I had never heard of. You can fill the holes weeds leave behind with soil or sand to avoid unsightly spots or tripping hazards. If you remove weeds from a grassy area, fill the hole with soil and grass seed, and water regularly to promote grass growth.

Always mow the lawn on a short setting when overseeding. The thinner coverage offers more space for the grass seed to take root in the soil. When reseeding a lawn, however, you may need to remove your old turf altogether.

Morning and late afternoon are the best times for watering new grass seed. The seed gets a healthy balance of water and sunlight, and the excess water evaporates. If you water the grass long after the sun goes down, the air is too cold, and there's no sun to make excess water evaporate.
