"Justin has done many jobs on my home before relocating to Oklahoma. An exterior repaint was top notch. He has installed cabinets in my home and several plumbing repairs. He also did various jobs for next door neighbors. He is always professional and gives a thorough explanation of the task at hand. I wish I could have him do more repairs for me in Texas."

"The installer was friendly, professional, and took care not to damage the cabinets or stovetop. He was knowledgeable and asked if we had any questions. He was on time and called before he came to be sure we were ready for him. We would hire them again!"

"I first used Harber Home Theater in 2013 to have a custom computer built. Since that time I have hired Drew for a countless number of jobs and been extremely satisfied with his work every single time, and I highly recommend him. At our previous home we had Drew wire our living room for surround sound, and we purchased all the new equipment from him for the system. I also had him upgrade the equipment at my parentsâ home, he is extremely knowledgeable and knows what product will work best for you, and never has attempted make us spend more on anything than we need. Later, I hired Drew to do the wiring and set up of a Power over Ethernet (POE) camera security system at our previous home and my parentsâ home. The quote process, and actual work could not have gone any more smoothly on all these jobs. I really appreciate that he takes the time to discuss everything with you, and gives you options and suggestions on ways to get the most out of your purchase. Three years ago we began construction on a custom home. I contacted Drew and had him come out and do a walk through to set the home up with all of the smart features and as well as connectivity we wanted. He had so many great suggestions on what to do with the new home, this was so useful at an already stressful and overwhelming time. We had 32 Cat6 drops placed inside and outside (security cameras) of the house, wiring for surround sound systems and mounted TVs all placed during the framing stage. His work was extremely clean and organized, he was honestly the most professional contractor during the whole build. He assisted us in selecting all the equipment we needed for the new house, giving us several options and detailing the difference between everything. Once the house was complete he came and hooked everything up and ensured it was all working properly. Almost two years later we are extremely happy with everything, and have had no issues. Finally, this spring I contacted him when I wanted to purchase a new TV. He guided me through the different options that are out there are we found an amazing TV which we were able to purchase through him and have him do the installation. One main thing I appreciated during this process was that when I mentioned to Drew that I wanted to purchase the newest AV Receiver through him so I could have the highest picture quality from my cable box to the TV, he discouraged me from doing so. He informed me that the difference would be minimal, and detailed the ways for me to get the best 4K programming. He could have easily said yes and made a sale, but instead he wanted to make sure I did not spend money on something unnecessary. You do not get this from box stores, nor do you find this very often with most people. Clearly our continuous use of Drew and Harber Home Theater is due to the quality of work he does and how customer friendly he truly is. My wife and I could not recommend his business more. We have sent him to several friends, and everyone has absolutely loved working with him."

"First they did more, than the choice I was given;my wife passed away and we had plans on a kitchen remodel, floors , paint and carpet, also some windows and doors. And I showed him the plans she had, and the colors and what we were going for, Metroplex came in and took the house that was stuck in the 80’s and brought it to modern day. The crews have attention to detail and do things in areas that no one will see, they are not the cheapest, but quality is not cheap! I was keep informed of all steps and they made a stressful time as easy as possible."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

Your new windows may let in more noise than your old windows because they are not the right size or they were installed improperly. Improper installation, or choosing windows that are too small for the opening, can create gaps around the window that let in noise.

Another factor could be the STC and OITC ratings. If your new windows have lower ratings than your old windows, this means they have lower performance when it comes to dampening noise from the outdoors.

Because egress windows are meant for emergency exiting and entering, they need to be an accessible size. The smallest an egress window is allowed to be is 15 inches in width and height, with an opening of around 4 square feet.

Most properly installed and maintained windows last between 15 and 20 years. Fiberglass windows last much longer than your average window. Since they don’t warp from temperature changes, rust, or rot, you might be able to hold onto fiberglass windows for up to 40 years. On the other hand, poorly maintained wood windows may only last for a few years.

Glazing is always done from the outside of the window, while the inside doesn’t require any glazing. This is because the main purpose of glazing is to create a weather-tight seal where the glass meets the frame, protecting against drafts and moisture. Since the exterior is exposed to the elements, that’s the side that needs the weatherproofing.

Before you replace your windows, check your home warranty. Many home warranties don’t cover windows at all, while some have specific clauses about what they will and will not cover and what might void the warranty. If you have any questions, reach out to your insurance specialist, and never make assumptions.
