This contractor able to repair and replace where needed as well as worked with me on paying for the additional work. My wife and I don’t have much of an artistic eye but Michelle was able to use her computer magic to allow us to see mock ups using different colors as well as what our addition will look like. Yes company put up a gorgeous carport and addition to existing pavilion. Company does rain gutters as well. A one stop shop which I prefer instead of having multiple contractors. Great family feel when working with owners and staff. Company worked from sun up until sun down only missing obvious rain delays attempted several time to work in between rain. The angle at which you cut countertops depends on the material, your intended outcome, and the location of the cut. For example, rather than cutting a straight 90-degree angle for internal corners, cut edges at a 45-degree angle to give a clean, professional look. For outside edges, most homeowners want squared-off sides, so 90-degree angles can make the most sense there. Because you want to get angles exactly right to minimize seams and eliminate the need for patching, be sure to measure several times before cutting and use the right equipment to get sharp, accurate angles.

While no countertop material is truly “heatproof,” granite countertops are extremely resistant to high temperatures. Some types of granite can withstand temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. However, we don’t recommend placing hot pots and pans directly on granite countertops. Even if it doesn’t scar the granite, it may damage the sealant.

The length of time between repainting depends on the type of products you use. But if you maintain your painted countertops, they can last a couple of years before you will need to repaint them. Remember sealing your countertops is vital for protecting the surface and will make them last longer.

Granite countertops cost an average of $3,250 compared to $2,250 for tile countertops. Granite is also harder to DIY than tile, given its weight and bulk, which increases the overall labor cost of installation. Over time, both types of countertops may need sealing to remain resistant to water, heat, and other common kitchen elements.
