"Timberjak, Sherman, TX, removed a 60-70 ft. tall TX Loblolly pine tree (base circumfrence aprx. 9 ft.) between two (2) houses. They arrived at 9 am, as they originally stated, and by Noon, had the tree topped out. They completed removal of the tree by 5 pm, quitting time. The majority of the tree limbs were shredded, and the remainder loaded in a trailer for disposal. Their motto is "We don't come to play, we come to work", is exactly what the crew of seven (7) do. No play, all work. The Timberjak crew had to work around several old plants with their equipment, one being an extremely large bucket lift. The owners were on-site 100% of the time working along with the rest of the crew. We've known Steven Hagan, for several years, "from another life", and his desire for perfection. But since this was business, our knowledge of Steven was only a part of our decision to hire Timberjak. Steven also came in with the lowest bid of three (3) bidders. Would we hire Timberjak, again, for tree removal? We certainly would."

"A large ice storm in Oklahoma City damaged a number of trees on our property.  Ours was just one of many, many neighborhoods hit hard by this storm.  So the clean up workload was enormous in our area.
We wanted to find not only a debris removal service, but someone who would know what to do in order to preserve the trees that could be saved.  Ideally, we wanted an arborist.  We found Earth & Arbor on Angie's List and got in touch with them.
Understandably, all the quality people in this line of work were extremely busy in the aftermath of such a major ice event.  I left a message with Earth & Arbor and a few other recommended services.  Caleb with Earth & Arbor was the first to return my call.  He was courteous on the phone but was very clear about how busy they were and how much of a delay there could be in doing the work.  He came by within a few days and gave his assessment of the damage and an estimate on the clean up.  Again, he emphasized how backed up they were with work, trying to deal with emergency situations first.  Ours certainly wasn't in that category.
It did take quite a while to get to us but Caleb stayed in touch throughout the wait, which was greatly appreciated.  Once he and his crew got here they did quality work.  We lost a tree in our backyard and had significant debris all over our deck.  Earth & Arbor did a good job with all of it.  They gave us a fair price, including an Angie's List discount, and they handled themselves very professionally.  There were a few loose ends with the final clean up but nothing significant.
We like their work and really came to respect Caleb's honesty, expertise and his friendly demeanor.  We will be using Earth & Arbor in the future and highly recommend them, not just for tree trimming, but for maintaining a healthy landscape year round.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Yes, tree roots can regenerate after they’re pruned or cut. In fact, trimming can stimulate new growth, especially in healthy trees. The tree’s roots can still grow back even after a tree is cut down, (and learning how to get rid of regrowing tree roots is a separate feat). Still, if you don’t wish to harm a tree, pruning the roots should be done with extreme care, and ideally by a professional.

On average, tree removal costs around $750, with a typical range between $200 and $2,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the tree's height, trunk diameter, species, and overall health. Accessibility is also a key factor; costs will be higher if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or located near structures like power lines or your home. Additional costs may apply for services such as stump removal (which can add $100 to $150), log-splitting, debris cleanup, and obtaining necessary permits. It is also customary to tip the professional, usually between $20 and $100.
