"We are very pleased with All Star Carpet Cleaning. I found this company thru HomeAdvisor, we found their positive reviews helpful, and after our experience, very accurate. Ron, the owner, was very helpful, and communication was him was excellent. JD, who visited our home, was very careful with our furnishings, and worked very hard to leave a good result. JD helped me move some furniture around, and had furniture protectors to place under the feet of our furniture, while the carpet dried. My wife came home later, and said it looked like we just installed new carpeting. We don't have ceiling fans, so the drying time takes awhile...we set up a few portable fans to help with the drying. I highly recommend All Star Carpet Cleaning, Ron, and JD for a job well done...Thanks!"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

No, it isn’t less expensive to install carpet compared to vinyl floors. The cost of installing carpet can range between $3 and $11 per square foot, so it falls just over the cost of installing vinyl flooring, at an average of $3 to $7 per square foot. High-quality carpeting can also range much higher, even up to $20 per square foot.

Installation typically takes 1-2 days, depending on the area size and preparation needed.

In most cases, laminate flooring is better for people with dust or other allergies as laminate is easier to clean. Carpet can trap pollen and other allergens, allowing them to be kicked up into the air again with foot traffic. Consult your flooring specialist about the best types of carpet or laminate flooring to use based on your household member’s needs.

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.

Spring and fall are the best seasons for installing carpet. Both seasons benefit from moderate temperatures and low humidity levels, which can help the carpet acclimate to the room and settle properly once installed. However, installing carpet during the winter months could result in lower costs, as demand for this service is low.
