"With an unusually heavy snowfall, Veterans was not prepared for the complexity of snow removal in a 33 home residential neighborhood and struggled to have appropriate, working equipment. After numerous communications with the manager and the driver of the plow, the job was accomplished."

"Once we were able to get the work scheduled, the workmen were prompt, efficient, hard working, respectful, and cleaned up well when they were finished.  We have not received a final bill yet but expect it to be satisfactory.  There had been a delay in getting the work scheduled because of negotiations with our insurance company, and then we were out of town on a previously scheduled vacation.  We had hoped to have the work done before we left, but because of their busy schedule it was hard to get us on their schedule."

"They did an excellent job . Hired them to remove an old concrete pad which was the flooring of an old garage. They removed it and replaced with topsoil . All parties involved were very friendly and made sure that the job was done to my satisfaction !"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The best time to hire a snow removal professional is long before snow falls in your area. Signing up for a seasonal contract not only provides peace of mind that your property will be cleared every time it snows, but it’s also often more affordable to sign a contract than paying for one-off services. If you prefer one-off shoveling services, you should contact your snow removal company the day before a storm is expected to schedule service. You can also call the morning of the snowfall, but this might result in delays.

That depends on the size of your snow blower and how efficiently it uses fuel. Most snow blowers will last between 1 and 2 hours on a full tank of gas. Larger blowers tend to use fuel more quickly and need refilling more often.

Keep in mind, the average snow blowing project for a home driveway takes around 30 minutes. Large driveways and yards will take around an hour. A full tank of gas should be more than enough for snow removal, although the height of the snowfall will have an effect, too.

Ice dam removal costs anywhere from $650 to $2,000, with most people paying about $1,200 for this service. The price you pay will depend on a few factors, including the removal method. If your pro uses salt or tablets to get rid of the ice dams, you might only pay $200 to $300. But if they use steam, your costs could increase to $800 to $1,200.

Snowblowers are some of the best tools for snow removal because they remove large amounts of snow quickly without bodily harm or damaging your deck. If your snowblower can fit on your deck, it’s a good first line of defense to remove snow quickly and easily. If you don’t have a snowblower, a plastic shovel with a rubber blade is another good choice to remove snow on a deck.

While it’s less common than on other kinds of roofs, yes, ice dams can form on metal roofs. Metal roofs, particularly those with snow guards installed, can still accumulate ice at the roof edge, although ice dams on metal roofs are less likely to cause roof or interior damage than on traditional asphalt shingle roofs.
