"Everything went very well. We sent Michael pictures of what needed to be done. He gave us a quote. We later asked him to come onsite to firm up the quote, which he did, and the price was the same. He stated he was booked some time out, but said he sometimes has cancellations. He contacted us and stated he indeed had a cancellation, so was able to start the next day. He started the work, even without a deposit, since it was short notice, and we were still away, out of town. We were trying to decide what to do for railing, and had captured quotes from supply companies for replacement aluminum or steel materials, but they seemed high. We asked Michael for his thoughts. He checked a hardware store for us, sent us pictures, and then sent us the part number/SKU's from the store. We paid the store directly, and he picked up the materials. The work is almost done, but all has gone great thus far, and we see no reason why it won't complete with great success."
"The project went incredibly well. The focus was a quality, appropriate renovation/addition on a 1930's federal house in Ann Arbor. An architect was hired to design an appropriate renewal and replacement inside and out. It was important that the builder could handle the scale and detail. We couldn't be happier with the results. In retrospect I am sure that there is no way that we could have renovated to this standard at this cost with any other builder. Pete was the perfect choice for our project. I am veryspecific about the level of quality and detail that I expect and Pete meets my requirements every time. He does it with a cheerful problem solving attitude that is uncommon in the building trades. Pete, and any of his co-workers, are a pleasure to have around the house. He is dependable and extremely honest. I know that Pete bids large jobs and small jobs. That makes him somewhat unique as a contractor. I am sure he brings the same level of workmanship to jobs much smaller than ours. I am equally sure he can manage a big project when contracted to do so. My main take away is that high quality work at fair prices is rare in the construction field. Pete’s company occupies a hard to find niche."
"We initially thought that there was a leak in the line for which a quote was provided. Once the line was uncovered to repair the leak it was discovered that the entire line (lead pipe which had been installed when the house was built in 1967) was corroded and would probably continue to spring leaks even after the first was repaired. The contractor recommended that the entire line be replaced although he was more than willing to repair only the leak for the initial estimate of $195. I agreed with his recommendation. The repair was expected to take several days so the contractor ran a temporary supply line to the house so that we would not be without water. We were totally satisfied with the work that was completed and that the employees were professional and courteous. "
