"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

In Warren, older homes may have limited electrical capacity, so adding extra lighting or staging electronics could overload circuits. Check that furniture placement doesn’t block HVAC vents or radiators, which are common in local homes. Keep access to shut-off valves and breaker panels clear. Focus on reversible changes and consult your realtor if you’re unsure how staging might interact with your home’s existing systems.

Helpful?

Before starting home staging in Warren, review recent listings to see what appeals to buyers in your neighborhood. Schedule a walk-through with your realtor to identify areas needing attention. Declutter, address small repairs, and arrange for temporary storage if needed. Deep clean every room and ensure lighting is bright and welcoming. Planning these steps in advance helps your staging project align with Warren’s real estate trends and avoids unexpected setbacks.

Helpful?

In Warren, if your home feels outdated, crowded, or lacks curb appeal but remains structurally sound, home staging can help attract buyers by highlighting your property’s strengths. However, if you notice issues like foundation cracks, water stains, or problems with heating and cooling, those require repairs first. Prioritize repairs for safety and function, then use staging to showcase your home’s best features in the local real estate market.

Helpful?

Warren homes often feature narrow staircases, small bedrooms, or original woodwork that can present staging challenges. Watch for low ceilings, limited natural light, or baseboard heating that affects furniture placement. If your home has unusual additions or split-level layouts, these may require creative staging solutions. Consulting a local staging expert ensures your home’s character is highlighted while addressing any layout quirks that could impact buyer perception.

Helpful?

When hiring a home staging pro in Warren, look for someone familiar with local architectural styles and buyer expectations. Review their portfolio for experience with Warren’s historic homes and ask for references from area realtors. Make sure they offer both consultation and full-service staging options. Choose a professional who understands the local real estate market and can tailor their approach to your home’s unique layout and features.
