"We hired K-Guard to replace our gutters with their leaf free gutter system in the fall of 2016. The sales rep came out and looked at our house and did not express any concerns. Our roof is shaped like an "H" so has several internal angles. During light rains, the gutters perform as advertised. During moderate or heavy rains, we get waterfalls at all of the internal angles. I emailed our sales rep about this and he came out and slapped some ugly mesh in the corners that didn't help the issue much. During the next follow up we were told "Sorry, that's just the design of your roof. There's nothing we can do about it." We have just learned to live with it. Fast forward to 2020, the gutters are showing signs of a clog. I can shine a light into them and see the dirt and debris build up under the shield. We called K-Guard to take advantage of their "Lifetime Clog Free Guarantee" only to be told they won't even come out to look at the issue unless we pre-approve a $150 charge if they "determine the issue isn't due to a clog." We spent nearly $15,000 on gutters and this is the kind of value we have received. Avoid this company at all costs."

"Roger’s crew removed 4 very large bushes and 2 overgrown grasses around the deck. They were replaced with 3 Silver Maiden (Moring Light) grasses in the front of the deck. The back of the house the crew removed 6 dying bushes and replaced them with 3 Cypress Mop plants. On both sides of the house a total of 10 dead/dying or overgrown bushes and tree were removed. They were replaced with 10 Dwarf Burning Bushes. The crew trimmed 2 medium size Lilac bushes on one side of the house. Reseeded a medium size bare spot in the side yard that was caused by an over grown shrub. Additional mulch was added to all the new plants and trees. The day the landscaping was done it was a very hot and humid day. Steven and his crew were very hard working men and answered all the questions we asked. We used Flemings for landscaping the front yard at our old address last year before selling the house."

"The landscaping work was good but the workers trying to clean my driveway coated my mailbox, newspaper box (with newspaper in it), tree lawn, and bottom of municipal light pole in neighbors yard (he was not amused) with mud. They had to come back out and clean it. Now, after the work is done, they claim they have somehow lost the 50% deposit I paid and are pressing me to pay it again. Unless you want to pay 150% of your contract costs for your landscaping, I'd go elsewhere. I would not recommend this company to anyone."

"I had a lawn installed in my newly constructed home in May 2017. The lawn started to come in very nice and I had to over seed a couple times. That is to be expected. Now it is spring 2018 and I have a complete infestation of couch grass in my lawn. Where does that come from you ask? From CHEAP STRAW!!!! This company will even tell you that this is straw growth you will get straw growth, but over time it will choke out. Don't believe it. What is coming up in my yard is not wheat straw but couch grass. Couch grass is a perennial that is extremely hard to get rid of. I will now have to rip out the brand new lawn and have someone else redo it."

"Here is a great example of a basic Unilock retaining wall installed by your team at Lamphears Landscaping. Its already failed after less than 5 years. It’s a simple wall that is barely 24 inches high. When asked how much of a gravel drainage layer they put behind the wall I was told only several inches. The Unilock website says minimum 14 inches should be used. When I asked if they used Geogrid or filter fabric behind the wall. I was told they didn’t need it. Both items were listed on the initial quote but now by their own admission not used. Pictures dont lie this is what you are left with. I’m sure you will likely see a rebuttal to this review from Lamphears. Of course, the GM will tell you “Hey it only had a two year warranty!” There was nothing in writing on the quote or final invoice about a warranty. Only a two year warranty for a simple wall like this ? Goes to show you how much they think of their own work when they wont back it up after 2 years. Stay away."
