    Brian of Whiting Construction Co tore my front porch down and poured concrete for the bottom and enclosed it. It is like a sunroom in there. There are 9 long windows in there, they go from the ceiling to the floor. He was good. The guys came on time and they were polite. They did the job they were supposed to do and I didn't have any problems at all. I was comfortable to have him in my home - he is a local guy and I know quite a few people that have had him do work for them. He's got a pretty good reputation

    We received an estimate to build a patio enclosure. It quickly became clear during the estimating process they were more interested in selling me on their financing plan. They used every slimy sales tactic in the book - “this price is only good until I leave”, “I cant give you an estimate until the office runs the numbers”, etc. They gave very little information on what exactly they were quoting me and the work to be done - I felt he was just trying to get as much money out of me as possible and would build whatever he could with that budget, rather than just ask me what we wanted. The final straw was when he refused to provide the estimate until air woke up my wife, who was sleeping with our newborn child in the nursery. He claimed he couldn’t show numbers to me without her present. I told him I didn’t appreciate his dishonest sales tactics and told him to leave

    The company was excellent, because my chimney was leaking they fit me into their already schedule, and worked around it. They are about an hour away and they went above and beyond to accommodate me and my schedule. They explained the exact problem and the exact remedy. They took pictures of the job to explain everything they were going to do and everything they actually did. Their workers were polite, professional, and knowledgeable.     STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS MESS OF A COMPANY AS POSSIBLE! Would you like to waste your time and money? Would you like to be repeatedly lied to? How about leaving your yard in shambles for weeks after being told it would take 1-2 days? How about them using your personal property as ladder props? How would you like them to not even finish and tell you they did?! How would you like to have them “fix” all this, only to make it worse ? How would you like all your shingles to be wavy with nails sticking out ? Yes? All of this and more could be yours if you choose The Third Estimate! Worst possible nightmare experience of ANY company in my life. None of this is exaggerated, I promise you that. They’re lucky we didn’t sue them, but I was leaving on deployment and didn’t want anymore hassle. The only thing they did right was give us a FULL REFUND because they knew the work was garbage.     Called Patio Enclosures (Great Day Improvements, Stanek Windows) on 07-17-2020 and Mary set up an appointment for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, 08-04-2020. The appointment time passed and there was no communication from Patio Enclosures. I called and talked to Daniel, and he indicated that he was sorry, and when I tried to clarify what happened, he kept on talking over me, not letting me explain why I was calling. It was like his sales style, if you talk more and talk louder, you will make the sale. I am very disappointed with Patio Enclosures for missing the meeting, but even more disappointed in their response during my phone call
