"Our basment & garage interiors needed repainted and we had a very positive experience with Beth, husband (Jimmy), and adult son (Rudy). Their work is exceptional. Rudy meticulously taped off door hardware while he & Jimmy prepped all surfaces including doors, walls, and ceiling. The tedious prep was done to perfection; doors needed stripped of old paint, wall outlets removed, and walls scuffed for good paint adhesion. Their attention to detail is superb and there is no paint splatter, drops, or mess left behind. We've hired professional painters in the past - Beth, Jim, & Rudy were far superior. We also had no concerns leaving them in our home while we were away. These are good people; we only wish other painters were as professional as they are and we have no qualms recommending them to others. Thanks Beth (Jim & Rudy); you folks truly are THE BEST."

While power washing isn't a requirement before you stain a fence, it can make the job much easier and faster while reducing manual labor requirements. Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. The easiest way to stain a fence depends on your experience and comfort level with the project. Applying stain with an airless sprayer or pump sprayer might get the stain job done faster, but it can be tricky. Paint rollers and stain brushes are slower but simpler for a DIY project.

Your tool of choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many DIYers prefer applying stain with a lint-free rag, but others stick with a paint brush or a roller. Wipe the stain and work it into the wood, working with and against the grain. If you’re applying multiple coats, allow the stain to dry for around four hours between coats.
