"Chris with Friesen Family Renovations, LLC was very professional and thorough in the work he has completed. He installed a new screen door, replaced my tub stem and faucet, repaired my subfloor in the kitchen and installed brand new LVP flooring to replace old and water damaged flooring. He also mounted a television for me, and did some drywall repairs as well. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for quality and dependable work!"

"Eric did a fantastic job! He was professional from the first day he came and gave us our quote. He is reasonable and fair with his prices. When he finished he did a walk through to be sure we were happy. I can not recommend anyone else. We already scheduled him again for our deck and pool deck."

"We can't say enough good things. Steve and his crew did top notch excellent work. They took an ugly back porch area and built it into a beautiful room with a butlers bathroom. They installed new walls. windows, new entry door and new screen door to room. Then finished and painted rooms. Steve made a beautiful custom sliding barn door for bathroom. They painted the eves on house and painted the house and fixed everything on house that needed fixed. Sage is so sweet and an excellent painter. They are very honest, kind, family oriented and reliable people. They went above and beyond. ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT WORK!!!!! We highly recommend!!!"

"I initially purchased a "Big Deal" for painting a few small exterior areas. Later that summer, following a city home inspection, I hired Kiss Coatings to paint the remainder of the house Kiss Coatings did a thorough job and were respectful when it came to communicating and cleaning up. However, they promised to return the following summer to do any necessary touch-up painting, which they did not do. I sent repeated messages to ask them to follow through on a couple of areas but I never received a response."

"The weather was hot and humid and it stormed on the last day !! Kirt did an excellent job!! It is costly to build a deck and get the material you want. Kirt got material from 2 places getting what he needed. I love my deck/porch !!!"

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can attach a deck to a mobile home, but it’s important that the work be done correctly to avoid the potential for major damage to your home. Many building codes require that any additions to mobile homes—including decks—be either freestanding or have their own support structures. Getting permits may require submitting the home's original floor plan, the proposed floor plan, framing details, and more.

Yes. Freestanding or floating decks are exactly what the name implies—structures with their own support beams. You can build a deck yourself and place it next to a house for the illusion of a connected deck without the hassle. Or you can construct it in a separate part of your yard for a dedicated outdoor entertainment space. For the purpose of removing a freestanding deck, the steps are the same as an attached deck, but you don’t have to cut the deck away from the home.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. If you live somewhere that experiences high winds and earthquakes, you may need to dig for your deck posts. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.

Yes, using sustainable materials and recycled composites offer green solutions.

Yes, and in some cases, frozen ground may improve the digging process for footings due to sturdier conditions. It’s easier than working in muddy conditions, which are more common in the spring. Contractors may use machinery that makes this step a breeze, so harder ground shouldn’t affect the building process.
