"Had a water leak in my front yard from a broken pipe. ADKINS plumbing was the only company that could come out the day we discovered the leak. Jarrod and his helper worked until 10:00 at night putting in a new water line so we could have water service restored the same day. They came back the next day and filled in the hole they dug the previous day and did their best to put the sod back in its place. Jarrod and his helper were both courteous and considerate of my property and concerns when they did the work. Their price was reasonable."

"Luke cleared my River bank by dock. Removed large tress and bushes. Graded the bank down to meet the river. I can walk down the bank now and put my kayaks in or just swim. He did an amazing job. He also leveled under my deck for my RV and put down gravel. He can do it all!! I would recommended him to anyone needing work done."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Pomeroy, a typical boundary survey takes about two to four weeks, but projects involving dense vegetation, steep hills, or older property boundaries may take longer. If your property is near the Ohio River or requires topographic mapping, expect additional coordination. Surveyors often need extra time during spring and summer due to overgrown foliage and unpredictable weather, which can impact project timelines.

Helpful?

After a land survey in Pomeroy, file your survey with the county office and share copies with your lender or legal advisor. Clearly mark property corners with permanent markers and update your records to reflect the new property boundaries. Protect survey markers from landscaping or construction. If you notice discrepancies or boundary disputes, consult a local professional before making property improvements or changes.

Helpful?

In Pomeroy, homeowners often balance speed against thoroughness—basic surveys are faster, but detailed surveys like ALTA provide more certainty for property boundaries. Hiring a local land surveyor offers familiarity with Meigs County terrain, while larger firms may have advanced equipment. Allowing surveyors to cross neighboring lots can improve accuracy but may raise privacy concerns. Deciding between quick results and historical research is another common consideration.

Helpful?

In Pomeroy, hillside lots, steep slopes, and homes built into uneven terrain can complicate land surveying projects. Properties with historic stone retaining walls, irregular property boundaries, or undocumented utility lines often require advanced surveying tools. If your lot borders the Ohio River or includes multiple outbuildings, expect surveyors to spend extra time confirming property lines and addressing unique site features.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Pomeroy should consider local zoning rules, Ohio River floodplain restrictions, and Meigs County permit requirements. The area’s steep hillsides and proximity to the river can limit surveyor access, especially during wet seasons. Rural properties may have wells, septic systems, or overhead lines that require careful mapping. Always confirm underground utilities are marked before survey work to avoid disruptions.
