"Paul Wheeler came out and cleaned the driveway, used hot patch on the larger cracks and sealed the entire driveway. He was careful, clean, thorough and took the time to explain what he did and why. I found that very helpful and appreciated his workmanship. This is a family business. It is NOT a franchise where hired workers are not invested in their work, the final result, or customer satisfaction. "It is amazing how Rob can take a concept and translate it into reality! We absolutely love the outcome. In addition, all the people who worked to build the patio and pond were courteous, punctual and cleaned up after themselves. They really went above and beyond. The only reason for the “B” on responsiveness is because Rob does it all including answering the phones and responding to email. To adhere pavers to concrete, you can use either mortar or a concrete-specific adhesive. For border pavers, a polyurethane-based adhesive is a good choice as it expands and contracts with temperature changes, keeping them firmly in place. For the non-border pavers, polymeric sand is used between the joints to prevent shifting. In most cases, it is also recommended to lay a permeable sand layer below the pavers to ensure proper stability and drainage. Before starting, always take the proper preparatory steps for a professional result.

Asphalt, which is stone mixed with tar, is the most common material for outdoor basketball courts because it’s so sturdy and versatile. However, you don't have to use it: another option is polymeric rubber, which has shock pads that can prevent injury. This option is a little more expensive, ranging between $16 and $25 per square foot.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. Additionally, rainwater or water from sprinklers can run under the edge of an uneven paver, causing erosion. In a freeze and thaw cycle, trapped water under the paver can cause the problem to worsen by shifting the stepping stones around. Use a bubble level to make sure the ground under each paver is as even as possible, even if the nearby ground is uneven.
