They were on time as scheduled, did a great job communicating plans. They were mindful to protect the grass and landscaping. "****DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY MONEY**** We hired Ben Elsen DBA PR Outdoor Services on February 11th, 2021 to perform an extensive hardscape/landscape project. After several revisions, we settled on a price of $8500. We paid a DEPOSIT of $4250, and our install date was scheduled for May 4-5. We tried to contact Ben for a week prior to the install date with no response. THE DAY BEFORE INSTALL we got a phone call to inform us that he could not or WOULD NOT do the job. We received a text stating that he would be refunding our deposit. As of TODAY 14 days later, Ben has not refunded our money and will NOT RESPOND to ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION!!!! Luckily, we paid with a credit card and the bank is going to go after him. Otherwise, we would be out of luck. Do NOT make the same mistake."

As long as you’re building a greenhouse, consider the overall look of your backyard. Could it benefit from stone walkways or grading? You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

A paver patio will add more value than a concrete patio. Pavers are a more commonly preferred option from an aesthetic and longevity point of view, so most buyers will be willing to pay more for a paver patio than they would for a concrete one. Pavers also don’t require a permanent foundation, so they won’t increase your property taxes. Buyers also prefer lower property taxes, so that will play into the ROI you’ll see, too.

Asphalt driveways are affordable and able to withstand sub-zero temperatures. The asphalt surface makes it easy to plow snow, and it has excellent traction for slippery winter days. Another benefit: it absorbs heat from the sun and can then help to melt snow and ice more quickly than other surfaces.

If you used regular jointing sand, you can typically walk on the repaired area right away. If you used polymeric sand, wait at least 24 hours before walking on it and 48 to 72 hours before driving over it, depending on the weather. Polymeric sand needs time to fully cure and lock the pavers in place.
