"The carpet looked like new when the work was done. They finished very quickly and arrived on time. When they cleaned the windows and the vinyl floors, they took their time and cleaned them streak free. They even cleaned the floors on their knees, just the way I would have done. Very good work."

"I've already written a review, don't remember the exact scores as it's been several weeks.  However, I would not use this service again.  The ladies were prompt, polite, and worked the 3 hours for which I had paid using a "special deal".  There were things I just assumed would be done, such as dusting the register/return (and a few other things), that were not taken care of.  I recognize that there was a limited time but were I hoping to get repeat work I would spend a few extra minutes double checking my own work and whether it is what I would do in my own home.  I've used cleaning services in the past (for many years) so I do know what to expect.

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Depending on flooring type and condition, costs range from $0.25 to $2 per square foot.

Buffing will only remove scratches at the surface level of your flooring. You may also need to apply hardwood floor wax to restore the wax layer. To remove deeper scratches, you’ll need another floor repair method like sanding; however, if you sand the floor, you’ll also need to stain and seal it.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

You can embrace minimalism when it comes to cleaning vinyl plank flooring. Water or diluted vinegar both work great for mopping and are much better options than some other cleaners that can damage the protective coating on these floors. Ammonia or solvent-based polishes can both break down the top layer. Also, avoid “mop-and-shine” cleaners, which tend to leave behind residue on vinyl plank floors.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.
