"Very professional work. They obviously know how to take care of a mold issue. Only problem we had is that we ended up not having a mold issue and we still had a high bill due to all the hourly costs setting up and tearing down their equipment and isolation chambers in case there had been a mold issue. Guess this can't really be helped, but seems like there could be a better way of testing up front to see if you have mold or not."

"I canâ t imagine having our issues addressed by anyone besides Mold Wizard. Not only did they do a thorough assessment, give a fair price, and do exceptional work, they understand that sometimes stuff isnâ t just STUFF. They worked to salvage family heirlooms and treated our belongings, home and older adult parents with dignity, respect, and empathy. I cannot recommend Mold Wizard highly enough."

"I scheduled Tim for a pre-purchase mold inspection on a property I intended to buy. Tim was on time for the inspection and was friendly and courteous during the inspection. He visually inspected the basement for mold and also performed a test that he sent back to the lab for more detailed results. If it was just the service performed that he was hired to do, I would have been satisfied. But what really impressed me about Tim was, while doing the mold inspection he was paid to do, he also noticed some potential issues with the house that were unrelated to the mold and he took the time to point those issues out to me even though it took him extra time to do. I would definitely use Tim's services again. He went above and beyond expectations.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Mold loves moisture, so prolonged high humidity levels or standing water can trigger mold growth. Mold also needs a food source to grow on, such as wood, fabric or another material. However, it's moisture that's most important for mold growth, which is why you want to keep humidity levels low.

Many caulk alternatives are safe for use in kitchens and food preparation areas, provided you apply them correctly and let them cure for the right amount of time. If you’re unsure about this step, call in a pro to do it for you. Silicone putty and caulk strips are often used around sinks and countertops due to their waterproof and flexible nature. Always choose products labeled as safe for kitchen use and follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper application and curing.

Results typically come back within 48 hours, allowing for prompt remedial action.

Odors, humidity problems, and health symptoms like headaches or allergies.

The purpose of crawl space encapsulation is to prevent mold by blocking moisture and reducing humidity. If the vapor barrier is properly installed, it significantly reduces the chance of mold developing within the crawl space. However, mold can sometimes grow behind the encapsulation material, but it will be sealed away from the main area. Additionally, moisture can still condense inside the encapsulated space, so if you notice excess humidity, installing a dehumidifier is recommended to prevent mold and mildew growth.
