"Mr Zimmerman was professional throughout the entire job, estimate to completion. He charged exactly what was quoted and the job was finished in a timely manner as he predicted. He and his co-worker started immediately upon arrival and were very thorough and our home looks much better since having the carpet re-stretched. Thank you for such great service"

"David installed carpet and pad in five rooms and three sets of steps in our condo. He also installed vinyl flooring in the kitchen, two bathrooms and the foyer. I am very please with the quality of his work. He even caulked around the edges of the vinyl where it met the baseboard. He cleaned up all the scraps and vacuumed the carpet before he left. I would definitely use him again, and would recommend his work to others."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Yes, by patching or section replacement to blend seamlessly.

You may be able to use super glue in a pinch to fix your carpet, but expect the repair to last only a short time. Super glue isn't designed for carpet, so over time, it'll break down, and the carpet piece will move out of place. For the best results, go to the store and grab a bottle of carpet seam glue.

Regular vacuuming is essential in homes with animals and children to remove pet hair, dirt, and debris from the carpet's surface. Additionally, prompt cleaning of spills and accidents can prevent stains from setting in. Consider using carpet protectors or area rugs in high-traffic areas to minimize wear and tear on your new carpeting.

Standard padding works like a sponge. It absorbs liquid, soaking up every drop of moisture that hits it. Moisture barrier padding does the opposite because it has a waterproof coating made of plastic film, rubber, or treated foam. It doesn’t absorb spills and keeps them on the surface instead, so you can clean them up before they damage your subfloor.

You’ll know if your carpet is stretched enough if it lies completely flat and smooth across your floor. If you have ripples, wrinkled areas, or carpet piling up along the baseboards, these are telltale signs that your carpet is not fully stretched. Release the carpet from the tack strip along one wall and use a stretcher or knee kicker to stretch out the carpet before securing it again.
