"LONG BUT WORTH THE READ Writing a review is not like me, hence the year to stew about it. April 2024, Mr. Conley came & was nice, professional & personable. So personable I heard & saw pictures of his rental house in Florida. I realized that hidden behind the nice & pleasant guy was a pure salesman. He physically showed me things he could do for my patio (level & seal to rid of nonstop algae). He said it was so unlevel and it would be raised which would stop the constant algae growth. He also added that anything that lived under the concrete would be gone due to the foam that would fill it all in. I was more excited. I was sold. I did the 3 part for the back patio. Along with the patio I agreed to have my walkway done as well. I believe this was a 2 part. He said I would no longer have standing water & mud on the walkway. It will be level and lifted up several inches. I was so excited. I paid in full $4,770.61. Couldn’t wait to have this done on 4.29.2025 On the 29th A gentleman named Mikey did the whole job himself. He drilled and appeared to have leveled the patio. No chipmunks run like Travis indicated. After this process of raising he did a great job talking me into the crack sealer which I agreed to add on. He power washed & sprayed a sealer for no more constant algae. Walkway was raised, power washed & sealed. I went ahead & added driveway and sidewalk. Mikey & I reviewed all he had done before he left. He told me that the patio was level but it didn't appear that way due to a railing that was giving it an optical illusion. The walkway was raised quite a bit and it was so nice not having dirt run over the concrete. The driveway and sidewalk were complete. The corner of the sidewalk was raised so there was no trip spot. A day or so later disappointment started. It was clean but it didn’t have a WOW factor. I paid a lot of money for the concrete to be perfect and it just didn’t seem that way. I little later the chipmunks were running in & out. How can this be with the underneath being filled with foam? I called & Mikey stopped. I mentioned about a little standing water and that I was surprised the foam didn't fill up the concrete underneath since I had chipmunks. Mikey told me three times that they were not an exterminator company. WHAT? I wasn’t saying he had to get rid of the chipmunks. I was simply curious as to why one of the things Travis sold me on didn’t occur. Mikey reluctantly sprayed into the holes they saw on the edges of the patio. One of the pictures shows the job they did with the foam coming out all over. It looks terrible. A constant reminder of money not well spent. My frustration with the concrete was very high, I now had algae again on my patio & my walkway was no longer level and water and dirt with the rain is now sitting on it again. Seriously? $5,000 plus dollars for disappointment. Mikey returned saw that I had standing water again & they would maybe level again (patio and walkway) then power wash and reseal. Maybe a week later, Mikey came & was shocked with the algae. He power washed & spray sealed again. About my walkway he said, “yah, I can see it slants again & it sure isn’t level”. He said he wasn't sure why, the steps didn't sink so why did the walkway. He said it was raised the first time and was level. Then the mike drop. He said there was nothing he could do about it because it would create issues with the driveway. WHAT? WHAT? So let’s get this right. I paid in full for something that couldn’t be done? Why did the salesman sell me this. Why didn’t Mikey inform me I was paying for something that couldn't be fixed? Mikey sent Mr. Conley back out only to tell me that they can't fix it. The algae in the back is due to all the shade? NOPE there is full sun. He told me that the walkway wasn't bad and couldn't be done. He offered to dig a little trench by the concrete so the water wouldn't gather and run. Very helpful. I never was contacted for a any sort of compensation for what was sold and couldn’t be done."

Concrete mudjacking services FAQs

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.

The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.

In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.

Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
