"Anthony was very prompt in returning phone calls and answering an email I sent. He fit me in on a tight schedule and arrived on time and did a very thorough cleaning. He took his time and paid special attention to the areas I was concerned about. I was amazed at how clean everything was when he left and how fast the carpets dried. We will definitely use their service again and definitely recommend this company."

"Everything went smoothly from start to finish.  They were great to communicate with, very responsive to emails, which is helpful if you're like me and don't have much time for phone conversations with a full time job and young children to care for at home.  The quote for the work was provided well beforehand, and was clearly stated and professional.  They were even flexible with their hours, coming out to do the work on a Sunday because we had to meet a deadline for closing on the sale of the house.  The price was beyond reasonable, I didn't even know mold remediation could be that inexpensive - granted the problem was mostly isolated to a modestly-sized area in the crawlspace since the house doesn't have ductwork or central heating/cooling.  Overall, I would highly recommend them - I would use their services again in a heartbeat!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Eventually, vomit odors will go away on their own. However, it can take weeks for that to happen—unpleasant weeks. Using baking soda or commercially available carpet cleaner according to product directions will speed up the process.

If the chemical compounds that make up pet pee haven’t been properly neutralized, the smell of urine can be reactivated with water and linger even after cleaning. You may also notice a remaining pee smell in carpets if the urine has soaked down to the carpet padding, which is more difficult to access and clean than the carpet itself.

Keeping your new carpet clean is vital to extending its longevity. Vacuuming regularly—at least once a week—can help remove dirt, debris, and pet hair. Instead of waiting, treating stains as they appear helps keep your carpet fibers looking fresh. Remember to blot rather than rub, rubbing will only make the stain larger.

It’s ideal to hire a professional carpet cleaning service to conduct a deep cleaning of your carpets a few times per year. The cost of professional carpet cleaning is $180 on average, which can help remove tough stains, draw out hidden dust and allergens, and eliminate odors.

Vinegar and baking soda can be effective for removing old carpet stains, although success may depend on the type of stain. There are two common methods for this process.

One method involves combining the ingredients directly on the stain to create a chemical reaction. First, pour a generous layer of dry baking soda over the stain. In a spray bottle, mix distilled white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water and a few drops of liquid dish soap, then spray this solution thoroughly over the baking soda. The mixture will foam as the acidic vinegar reacts with the basic baking soda, which helps loosen and lift the stain. Let this sit for a few hours until it dries, then wipe or vacuum up the residue and blot the area with a clean, dry towel. You can repeat the process if the stain persists.

An alternative method suggests using the ingredients separately. Start by sprinkling baking soda on the stain and letting it sit for 15 to 30 minutes before vacuuming it up. Next, blot the remaining stain with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, and then blot the area dry with a clean cloth.

Depending on your type of carpet, a wet/dry vacuum is a great final step to removing blood stains, but it will only help after you’ve used another method to pull out the bulk of the stain. A good option is to use a wet cleaning method, then apply baking soda to the stain, and then follow that by vacuuming thoroughly. Remember that this vacuum type does not work on all carpet types. Wool can shrink with this method, so always check the cleaning instructions from your carpet’s manufacturer.
