"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"My husband and I hired ING Contracting to completely remodel our kitchen. From our first meeting with Nick we saw the enthusiasm he brought to our project. He is very attention oriented. Also, extremely knowledgeable and relayed of step of the project before start and throughout. Communication is key to us and he was very responsive to email and phone calls. It was fascinating to see our kitchen come to life from bare bones. Each time Nick and Nicco left for the day, the work area was clean and neat. We are blown away with the quality of service, impeccable craftsmanship, knowledge and communication. ING Contracting took our dream kitchen and brought it to life. We would wholeheartedly recommend ING Contracting."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

Yes, there are some options for pre-built inset cabinets—and RTA ones, too—but the selection can be somewhat limited. Many homeowners who decide on inset cabinets choose to have them custom made.

To install cabinet doors evenly, it’s important to make sure that all drilled holes and hardware are in their right places and aligned properly. You can achieve the ideal placement by using a level, straightedge, or other measuring tool. In the event that your cabinet doors are not installed evenly, most hinges allow you to adjust them so that your doors can be perfectly lined up.

Buying a kitchen cabinet or finding an experienced cabinet maker is likely going to be your best option unless you have the necessary experience and woodworking skills. If you’re just replacing one cabinet base or one cabinet, making your own is entirely possible and more effective, assuming you have the right equipment.

If you have a drawer larger than 30 inches, you should consider adding two pulls, but, again, this decision is up to personal preference. Any pro you work with on cabinet installation can help you determine how many pulls you need and where you should place them.
