"Great I recently needed to hire a moving company for a relocation from the Medina area to the Columbus area. I contacted 3 companies, Leaders, American Van Lines and Moving Ahead Services. I choose Moving Ahead Services because they were not going to add an additional charges for tearing down exercise equipment, e.g. treadmill, elliptical, sauna, as well as book cases that needed to have molding removed and a tear down of a Theatre room. Also, their price was the best and they really took time with us prior to move. Kayla always checked in each month to see if our home sold to see if we needed to schedule our move. I needed to do two moves, one to an apartment until a home became available to purchase and our items went into storage that were not being moved into the apartment. The home was 6,000 square feet and this was a large move. Chris the manager came to meet with me prior to the move so we could go over the move prior to move day. He took time after to work to drop boxes off so I could save money on packing. This was very helpful. He continued to follow up on the days the movers were at our home. Scott was the crew leader and did an excellent job, he called me prior to arriving to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived they toured the home and Scott assigned each of the movers to the room they would be responsible for packing. The movers names were Scott, John, Jameson, Aaron Carp, Anthony, James A. James B and Chris (Bear). They were excellent. I bought them lunch and drinks and they only took 10 min to eat. They did not even sit down, they just kept moving to get the packing completed. They were clean and neat and very professional, but most of all polite. They worked very hard and never stopped. Scott took time at the end to go over the invoice and explain all the charges and this was very helpful. I look forward to working with this crew when I my items come out of storage and move into my next home. I highly recommend Chris, Scott, Jameson, Aaron Carp, Anthony, James A., James B and Chris (Bear). They were awesome and I cannot say enough nice things about these gentlemen."
"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List ! She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home. She has a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me" I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly hence saving me the time. She also has excellent local contacts. Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent. My project is far from complete. I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"
Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from. Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process. The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late. My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room. They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee. I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate. There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it. Every room has an entrance. I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

I have 10+ years in the construction industry, I've worked in several different fields including but not limited to; roofing, siding, landscaping, remodeling houses. For the past 4.5 years I've been a project manager for a decent sized construction company, I ran a crew of four people rehabbing and remodeling houses to put on the market(flipping houses). But not just any houses these were the worst of the worst. I trained 3/4 crew members from scratch as in they had no construction experience when they started. I honed my crew into one of the best crews in the company, one of the most profitable crews in the company. We did it but doing things fast, efficient, and right no cutting corners. I can do anything related to a house, from the roof to water proofing the basement and everything in between. I believe that doing things right the first time and keeping costs down can go hand in hand and compliment each other.

The main factors to consider when staging your home when selling are your budget, number of rooms to stage, and how long to keep the staged setup. Since home staging costs about $600 per room when using professional services, you may want to only stage the rooms that are most important to potential buyers, including the kitchen, living room, and primary bedroom. You should also consider which repairs or updates are necessary before staging your home, such as painting interior walls, carpet cleaning, and refinishing hardwood floors.
To stage your home yourself, clean your home thoroughly to sell, leaving it gleaming like a five-star hotel. Less is best—always clear away clutter and anything personal so buyers can focus on the beauty of the rooms. Prospective buyers will check the closets, so investing in a storage space may be necessary.
Move furniture around, mix fabrics and decor, and de-cramp the room by removing any unnecessary furniture. A fresh coat of paint always helps, as do natural features like plants.
Professional home staging services can vary between companies and properties, but the primary goal is to set up a house with aesthetic furniture and decor to entice potential buyers. Many stagers offer customizable packages, and you can often pay for additional services. Common offerings include:
Design and Planning: Color design, planning each room's layout, and professional interior design services.
Furniture and Decor: Choosing and renting furniture, decor, and artwork. This also includes the setup and takedown of all rented materials.
Arrangement and Organization: Rearranging existing furniture, decluttering, and organizing the space.
Ambiance: Creating a welcoming atmosphere with strategic lighting and accessories.
Repairs and Maintenance: Minor repairs, home maintenance, and addressing visible issues.
Curb Appeal: Improving the home's exterior with services like painting and garden bed management.
It's best to connect with a professional home stager to see what’s included in their specific packages or to request a custom service.
The main difference between a home stager and an interior designer is that the former creates temporary, generally appealing spaces, while the latter creates personalized design choices for your permanent home. A home stager seeks to depersonalize your home while also showing off the best features of the home to potential buyers. An interior designer works with you to infuse your personal style into the decor in your home. You’ll typically only hire a local home stager when selling your home.
A professional home organizer helps people organize their space so they can live in a neater, more stress-free environment. They help with planning, coaching, and storage solution ideas to get your home in order—and keep it that way long-term.
