"This was the first time we have had our decorative pond cleaned. Buckeye Pond Cleaning was very professional and pleasant to work with. They communicated well and discussed the process in detail with us. We were very happy with all aspects of the work and discussions with them. We were impressed with Brian's knowledge and attention to detail and appreciated how hard he worked. Our pond has never looked so good. In the process of cleaning, Brian found 4 frogs and 3 trapdoor snails we thought had been eaten by racoons. He carefully removed them all along with our fish to a large holding tank while doing to cleaning. We highly recommend Brian and Buckeye Pond Cleaning."

Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

While there’s always a possibility that pests will appear in and around a natural swimming pool—much like regular swimming pools—they largely deter pests due to their natural filtration system, which keeps things clean and the water constantly moving.

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.

Placing your water feature in direct sun can speed up evaporation, leading to pump damage and algae growth. Shade or partial shade serves as the ideal location for most water features—just watch out for tree and plant debris that may fall in and clog the pump.
