"All aspects of the work were done professionally. We had our deck/ramp power washed and stained with a solid color stain. We were kept well informed regarding timing and received a lot of assistance in choosing a method for staining. The work was done professionally, promptly, and to our specifications. All employees from the owner to the painters themselves were pleasant, polite, and very professional. The ramp looks beautiful. They provide a warranty and even a free "touch up" service. Work was done quickly and quietly and clean-up was thorough."

"It was a very good experience. The painter honored all of his commitments. He did a wonderful job, the house looks great. He came on time and finished the project when he said he would. Painted and caulked all areas of the house. Very pleasant to deal with and very responsive."

"We renovated a large multi-level deck with composite. Being an avid wood worker, I have an eye for quality. Upon completion of the job, I did my final inspection and was very impressed with the tight miters, square edges, uniform gaps, level, and flatness. Mikeâ s team was definitely not mere construction laborers, but craftsmen. After an exceptionally hot day, they began their site cleanup. I told them not to worry about it because theyâ re coming back in the morning, and it wasnâ t bothering me. He told me that was for their sense of pride, and they continued. It was obvious that they did take pride in every aspect of their work. Several progress updates were given, and Zack hit the estimate on the nose. Iâ ll hire this team for my next job without hesitation."

"AJ was awesome. I needed a deck foundation built for a resin shed I am planning to put on top of it. AJ did everything I asked for and more. He had ideas that were above and beyond the original scope of work and implemented them. He was easy to work with and straight forward in his communication. He came by to give an estimate, three days later the job was complete. Thanks for everything AJ!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

You’ll need to restrain your deck when you notice fading, cracking, peeling, or mold and mildew over a moderate to large area, or when it’s become especially difficult to clean. As for how often to stain a deck, plan to do it every two to three years or whenever you start to notice extended damage.

No, you don't need to stain Ipe decking, although you can if you want to change the color. You will, however, need to apply a UV coating if you don't want the natural color to fade. Speak to a deck staining specialist near you to discuss the best options if you want to stain your decking. And remember that you’ll need to seal your Ipe wood deck annually to protect it from scratches and Mother Nature.

The best type of paint for concrete exterior surfaces like concrete porches, steps, or walkways is high-quality exterior-grade paint with strong weather resistance. Acrylic latex blends with tiny anti-slip particles will help create an anti-slip coating for your concrete porch. This type of paint will stand up best to the elements, especially rain, snow, and ice. An exterior epoxy will also help strengthen your concrete porch.

You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.

You may be wondering: can you paint cement? Fortunately, the answer is yes.

To change the color of your cinder blocks, you have two options. You can either paint them or stain them. Either way, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of color options. Some popular colors for cinder block painting include off-white shades and gray tones, which add a modern spin to the traditional gray blocks.
