"I have to say the owner of this company was extremely nice to say the least. In addition, so we're his workers that work in the Toledo, Ohio area. I would definitely hire this company for everything that needs done to our house in the future as well. I was extremely impressed to say the least!"

"These guys are just awesome! From the time Ryan answered the phone and walked me through the process and Kevin taking down the tree with speed and safety, I couldn’t have been happier to have hired them. Very accommodating and professional. Will hire them again and highly recommended them to those looking for tree service."

"Hired this guy for a large pine stump that needed removed in front of my manufacturing site. From quote time to finish time was only a couple of days. The work only took a couple of hours.. and it looked great. He was pretty meticulous on how it looked. He was also cognizant of the underground utilities. Great work.. would definitely hire again!"

"Bernie came to look at the tree and give an estimate. He went beyond to explain and showed me what was happening with the tree. (Dug around the trunk etc). He also went into detail to educate me about the product. He really took his time. All this before I decided to use organic air. He s a certified arborist and it showed. He knows his stuff!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Trees should be pruned every two to five years, depending on its age and type. Young trees should be inspected and pruned every two to three years. Mature trees should be inspected and trimmed every three to five years, and fruit trees should be pruned annually with a careful eye on seasonal growth. Evergreens typically don’t need pruning, unless branches or limbs are damaged, diseased, or harboring pests.

Yes, you should trim the lower branches of your maple tree for safety. Trimming maple trees as they grow helps lift the crown and canopy and trains it to grow straight up. A good rule of thumb is to prune enough branches to leave 6 feet of clearance under the tree.

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Often, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to handle the aftermath when a neighbor’s tree falls on their property. But if a tree has been obviously dead for a significant period of time and caused damage when it fell, a case can be made that the owner should have removed it, especially if the neighbor wrote you a letter about the tree or asked you to take it down. This can be grounds for a successful lawsuit in claims court and is a good reason to always pay attention to your trees and remove dead trees before they fall.
