Our Kitchen and Home remodel was a major overhaul that required a lot of detailed planning and vision . SRS Construction / Don Caudill listened to my concerns and needs for the project and formulated a plan that by far exceeded my expectations. Don Caudill took detailed notes and created drawings and plans to submit to the county for approval. Once the plans were approved with a couple minor revisions SRS Construction / Don Caudill got to work on the project . Phase one of the project was to demo the old kitchen and family room and remove load bearing walls dividing the 2. This was a very delicate procedure involving temporary framing and support beams installed in the attic . For a more pest-proof option, consider building a shed base with gravel or paver stones. Both options are fairly affordable and easy enough for a DIY project. For gravel, you can build a wooden frame to contain the loose material.

Deck blocks are easy to install and level, and they raise your shed up off the ground to prevent rotting from exposure to water and moisture. Keep in mind that deck blocks won’t resist soil movement or frost heave, so they’re not ideal in areas with expansive soil or a deep frost line.
Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.
