"?We had vinyl flooring installed in our attic space and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The team was professional, punctual, and worked very efficiently. The quality of the installation exceeded our expectations, and they completed the project much faster than we anticipated without sacrificing attention to detail. The new floor looks amazing and completely transformed the attic. They also kept the workspace clean and communicated with us throughout the process. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality flooring work and great customer service!?"

"Jeff and Tim were very good and honest contractors. They installed ceramic tile in 5 areas of my home. The estimate was completed shortly after I called, and the job was started within a couple of days. They did very well at keeping me informed if there was a problem, and getting it resolved in a timely manner with the lowest cost possible. They were very professional and were always there on time, and on the days that we established. I would recommend them to anyone, and wouldn't hesitate to use them for any project in the future."

"I received a prompt response to initial inquiry. Timely visit to provide quote and very thorough explanation of what the job would entail. On day the job was scheduled Homer showed up right on the minute he had indicated he would. Never experienced such promptness. Job was done very well & was not rushed in anyway. Very considerate in explaining everything he was doing and the benefits of why he was doing it a certain way. Repeatedly asking if we were satisfied with the work and was there anything he could do to make it better. The tile job came out better than we had imagined. Highly recommend him and will use him again for future projects."

"Matt and crew did an excellent job and were very friendly. They managed to get me on their schedule early as they were doing a similar job a few houses down the road. I would recommend them."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.

You can put hot pans on porcelain countertops. Porcelain is highly resistant to heat—it’s manufactured at around 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can withstand a ton of heat without cracking or damaging. Even though the high heat is a plus, you should still be cautious when putting hot surfaces on porcelain countertops.

You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles. Finally, you’ll need grout to smooth the gaps between the tiles and, ideally, a grout sealer to prevent mold. While it sounds simple enough, proper planning and execution are crucial, so carefully review the steps in this guide or hire a pro tile installer to complete this project.

Deciding between using a shower pan or tile will likely come down to the shower’s design. You can learn how to install a shower pan liner, but it has a standard look similar to most other showers, though there is some flexibility for material and color choices. Tile, on the other hand, can be customized and is set directly into the shower base. However, a shower tile floor is more difficult to install than a shower pan.
