We had 2 different wood floors on our first floor and upstairs landing , red oak with a clear poly finish and maple with a cherry gel finish that we wanted to have refinished with one unifying stain color. It is extremely difficult to match stain color on two different species of wood to get a close match. He did so beautifully and we could not be more thrilled with the results. "As my house approached 50 years of age, the knotty pine living room floor was looking much older. After checking around online, in-person and maybe a do-it-myself, a friend told me of Woodchuckâ  s Flooring in Schenectady - about 40 miles from Summit, NY. Motivated, I measured the floor at about 425 sq. ft. plus a 50 sq. ft. kitchen parquet floor. I called for an estimate and he came out a few days (nights) later. Chuck sized up the room and told me he would sand, some by hand in the tight spots and put down three coats (of something). The above would take three days but a fourth would be needed for the coating to set as well as the odors to dissipate. Checking my calendar, I decided that I needed a four-day mid-week vacation, signed the contract, moved the furniture off the floor, covered the counters and went to Maine (in March of â  23). On day 5, I finally returned to an absolutely beautiful living room and kitchen floor. Really!! Check out the before and after pictures. Iâ  m extremely satisfied!!"
