"Nick gave us a very reasonable estimate, and a window of when the job would be completed. After we accepted Nick job proposal, he contacted us with a day and time he would arrive for the tree removal. The trees (dead Ash) were removed, and the area was cleaned up beautifully. I highly recommend Nick, he is dependable and professional!"

Customers say: True professional

"Where do I start? These guys did a storm clean up for my neighbor, and as I watched I was impressed. The level of skill and professionalism they have is unmatched. So naturally when I need tree work I reached out. The woman on the phone remembered who I was and where I lived which was a good feeling, to feel important. I scheduled the tree removal for about 4-5 days from the call. They showed up right on time, and idk if they even took a break. The tree was down, chopped and stacked is what seemed like hours. Everything was cleaned up and they left. I'll definitely be calling back if I ever need tree work. You shouldn't hesitate either."

"Eric and his men were very professional and friendly. They cut down close to 30 large pine trees, some were near structures. All work was completed in a safe and timely manner. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company and intend to have them comeback to remove more trees in the future. Thank You"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In some states and municipalities, you will need a permit to remove a tree on your property. In many cases where permits are required, a tree must reach a maximum height before a permit is required to remove it. You can either ask your local building department or a tree removal professional if you’ll need a permit. If you do, you can expect to pay between $50 and $150 for the permit alone. Your tree removal company should pull the permit for you and include the permit fee in your total.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

Carefully pruning small roots no thicker than three inches in diameter won’t harm the tree. However, cutting larger roots may impact the tree's stability and nutrient absorption. It's advisable to consult an arborist or tree care professional to evaluate the root's size, the tree's health, and the potential impact of cutting. Proper tree pruning techniques and timing can minimize damage, but larger root removal may necessitate expert guidance to avoid compromising the tree's overall health and stability.

According to scientists at Penn State University, spotted lanternflies do not typically kill the trees and plants they feed on, but they can cause branches and segments to die off. However, they have been found to kill cultivated grapes, which can have devastating consequences for vineyard owners and regions that heavily rely on vineyards to create jobs and generate revenue. They have also killed the Ailanthu altissima, known as the tree of heaven, though this is classified as a noxious and invasive weed tree.

Licensing requirements for arborists, also known as tree surgeons, vary by state and municipality. Many areas require a license, which often involves specialized education and experience. Even if not mandated, it's wise to hire a licensed professional as they tend to have more experience. Beyond licensing, look for certifications from organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as this indicates a higher level of expertise. Certified arborists must typically pass a comprehensive exam. Always confirm that the arborist has a business license and is fully insured to protect yourself from liability. Seeking positive recommendations from local homeowners is also a good step in finding a qualified professional.
