"Dave Smith was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and patient. We added new items to our order at the 12th hour and he came back twice to make sure that everything was completed as we desired. We also had Alarm Protection Group secure our office. Dave Smith and Co. make the process very easy-Highly recommended."

"Walter and Glen at Protect Your Home Group with ADT are the best people to talk to in terms of security alarm. Being a locksmith myself I know how important it is to deal with the right people. I referred a lot of customers to them and so far they are happy with their service. I myself got one for my house. Thank you for a consistent service and great deal."

"I communicated with Rob Calbo for services of a background check with CSI Secure Solutions and he was fantastic.
He spoke with me in a very professional manner and put me at ease right away.
The process was seamless and my request was delivered very efficiently. Within just a few hours of providing them with information, I was able to get feedback. Rob took the time to speak with me and answered all of my questions.
I will definitely be using them again in the future should the need arise, and I would definitely recommend them as being very efficient, professional and reliable.

"Serge and his crew have done work for us twice now. In both cases they told us exactly what they would do, including a written estimate & contract for this job. The estimate were fair and they did more than they agreed to. All of the work was very professionally done with excellent results. They were punctual and always acted as professionals while here.

We have had long-term leakage from a gutter into the wall on the front of our house. The damage was both inside and outside. The house is Tudor style and two stucco panels and wood framing had to be removed. The inside of the wall had to be completely restored and the inside wall in our living room had to be removed and replaced.

It was a three-day job and the finished work is perfect, both inside and outside. They were able to match both inside and outside to the other walls in color and style. I will call them for any work I cannot or will not do around the house.

I highly recommend them."

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

It can affect security, especially if you don’t finish it properly. A Dutch door has more moving parts that can be compromised, so you’ll want to use solid hardware and make sure everything lines up and locks cleanly. If the latch is flimsy or the two halves don’t sit tight, it’s going to be easier to force open.

Rekeying door locks yourself costs a fraction of what you would expect to pay a locksmith. On average, it costs between $50 to $100 to hire a local locksmith to rekey your house, though labor costs may vary based on where you live. For a DIY solution, you can expect to spend $11 to $25 on a rekeying kit.

It depends on the quality of the keyless lock and usage, but in general, you can expect a keyless lock to last around three to five years. The batteries typically last around six to 12 months. The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.

You might assume that having two locks on one door will offer more protection than only one lock, but there may not be an advantage. While there’s nothing wrong with having two locks if you feel it’s best for your living situation, rest assured having one high-quality deadbolt installed correctly will offer a high level of protection.

When the temps drop, sometimes you need to thaw a lock to regain access. Options include warming the key with warm water, applying a de-icing spray, or using a hair dryer on low heat. Avoid using boiling water to prevent damage. To prevent future freezing, consider installing a cover or shield over the lock to keep water and ice out. Remember to be patient and gentle during thawing to avoid damaging the lock or key. If all else fails, consult a professional locksmith.
