Customers say: Quality work

"I am so glad John called. I had a small but very necessary repair. He did a great job- fixed the door, tightened up the track - fixing the door better than it was before it broke. I won't hesitate to call him, when we are ready to do some projects that needs to be done in our house. Thanks John!!"

"Eddie, Miguel, Alex, and Johnnie, were the hardest working men I have ever seen! They SPRINTED up stairways with loads of boxes and contractor bags full of junk. They SPRINTED down the stairs with boxes of files, and books. They moved old cabinets, bookshelves, and bags of old clothing and shoes. And they never stopped running. They are all super nice, respectful, and willing to assist in the house clean up in whatever way they could. And their price is so beyond fair that I gave a 10% tip on each dumpster load. I will need to use them after the estate sale, and will be sure to reserve the day early. I have used other companies (like the â Got Junk?â ones), but will never have to again. Avalanche is the way to go!! R. Narita. Oyster Bay"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Demolition includes wrecking, razing, or otherwise destroying an area or property, and with professional demo contractors, the process also includes surveying, permits, and debris removal in the cost. Pros will help prepare the site with inspections and surveys, demolish the area, haul away the debris, and clean up the area.

The majority of general contractors include junk and trash removal in their contracts, but services vary. As the homeowner, you may need to manage tricky items on your own, such as disposing of laminate flooring in an eco-conscious way or by arranging for appliance pickup with your local waste management service.

How you dispose of excess concrete depends on the amount you have left over. Since concrete hardens quickly, it's wise to have a disposal plan before starting your project. For small amounts, you can divide the extra concrete into manageable chunks. Because concrete isn't considered hazardous waste, these smaller pieces can often be placed in a dumpster. For larger quantities, you can rent a dumpster from a company that specializes in concrete disposal or take the material to a landfill or transfer station. It is important to call your preferred location first to confirm they accept concrete. Additionally, check with your municipality to see if it offers recycling services for solid concrete.

Begin by calling your waste management company to check if there was a reason the garbage truck skipped your home this time. If there is no clear explanation or you cannot reach a representative, call your local sanitation department to report the issue. In this case, be sure to take notes about how often the company doesn't pick up your garbage or and whether you were able to contact the business.

In most cases, the money you’ll spend on concrete disposal is well worth the investment. Concrete is heavy and often bulky, so moving it manually can be dangerous and time-consuming. A professional disposal company will have equipment and machinery to expedite the process and keep everyone safe in the process. Additionally, some companies can save you some money on dumping fees if they work with other entities that take recycled concrete.
