"I was told by a plumber it was probably a squirrel or raccoon nest. I called two places, this place gave me an angie's list discount and was $300 cheaper than the other company I called. When they came they told me that it was a plain old birds nest and they removed it and the price charged was $200 dollars less than the squirrel removal. So overall, they came quickly, did a great job, checked the dryer vent and the chimney and prices was so much less than the next company on the list that I called. I would absolutely use them again."

"We had a bird in our vent and Nicholas came over the same day we called Pestify and assessed the situation. They made sure that the bird was out, and then covered the vent so it could not get back in. We had great communication throughout the entire process and they were very knowledgeable."

"Jesse is knowledgeable about his profession and does it well. We had a bird in the chimney and he removed it without hurting it and let it go outside. I asked for help on a Friday night and heard back from Jesse within an hour which was important to us since we were kind of anxious about whatever animal (at the time we had no idea what it was) was in the chimney. I am impressed by this profession in general as from what I could see, they put themselves in harm's way in order to get whatever the animal is out of wherever it shouldnâ t be. I will highly recommend Jesse and Vector Wildlife and Pest Control to anybody who needs their services and wouldnâ t hesitate to use them again."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

High-frequency bird repellent devices are effective at driving away birds, which is their intended purpose. However, these devices also tend to have unintended negative consequences. For example, if you or your neighbors own pets, the high-pitched noise emitted by these electronic devices will cause them distress and may even make them aggressive.

The brown recluse has numerous predators in the wild (or close to your home). They are a valuable part of the ecosystem, too. Their predators often include birds, praying mantis, crickets, chickens, spider wasps, and more. However, the brown recluse spider is a master at hiding, making it much more difficult for predators to hunt them.

Both spikes and loose nets can be installed over nest sites to prevent the bird from returning, but nets are not a humane option since birds and other wildlife can get tangled in them.

Spikes are a humane alternative that deter nesting without harming the birds. In small areas, like vents, a very fine mesh net can be installed to prevent the bird from returning. These nets don't generally pose a risk to the birds.
