"I called yesterday and they did the work early today. When I called, the woman who arranged the appointment was pleasant and helpful. The workers who came were friendly and careful when removing the items. I did one other cost-estimate comparison and the price for this service seemed very fair! I would definitely hire them again because the whole process was very quick and easy!"

"They were great. The woman who called me when I first inquired about their was very knowledgeable, sweet and efficient. The morning of our job they were running & I received a text to keep me updated. The two guys arrived, I wish I remembered their names because they were so fabulous. They got to work right away & didn’t waste a second. They had to move a piano organ which was monstrous in weight but these guys worked so well together that they figured it out. They moved a really heavy console tv from our 2nd floor, a professional size elliptical machine that we could sell or even give away on Craigslist. Plus a lot of other stuff. We filled like 2/3 of their truck, at the very least. They didn’t charge us extra for the pieces that were extremely heavy. Everyone was so professional and super sweet. What I loved the most about their service is their interest in repurposing belongings when possible instead of the stuff landing in a landfill. The piano we gave away wasn’t working anymore due to the action dried out & it was too expensive for us to fix. They knew of someone who worked on pianos as a hobby & will fix it so it can go to someone who will enjoy playing it for years to come. That helped my mom to finally come to terms with letting it go."

"It was so much easier than getting a dumpster. I paid less money than if I had gotten a dumpster because a dumpster charges by weight and since it snowed and rained, everything in the bag was wet - I would have paid a fortune!!! With the bullbag, I paid one set price and the cool part: I got the bag back to refill again and again. This company also recycles most of what is collected so less ends up in a landfill.
No better business bureau complaints.
One set price to empty.
I get to reuse the bag over and over."

"It's so big that they would have to dismantle it onsite and probably use a torch to cut through the iron and the frame. I figured it wouldn't be that expensive. They quoted me $400 to take it away. I might still do it. I thought it was a pretty decent estimate but I just decided not to go ahead and do it right now. I might do it in the future though. Two guys came in and they were thinking that they would be able to haul it out that morning, the morning of the appointment. When they saw what they were facing, the fact that the sofa itself was so large and they would have to squeeze it between some other furnishings in the basement, instead they're going to have to cut it up onsite and remove it piece by piece. That could be much more complicated a job than everyone thought it would be, including myself. They did give me the estimate on the same day that they came. They did come right away. They had two guys that were really ready to do the job. They kept the appointment. They were excellent service folks. It was just that the job was too complicated. The sofa is 96 inches or something. It is not a small job."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
