"Carl, Garrett and the entire team did an amazing job paving our front entryway as well as adding decorative stone to the side of our house. The whole process was quick, stress free and the end result completely transformed the look of our house. Everyone who walks by comments on how great it looks! I 100% recommend!"

"The job that Magic Masonry did for us recently was quality workmanship. I would absolutely refer them to friends and family. I wanted a new walkway in my backyard and it came out 100% better than what I imagined it would look like. They also renovated a previous walkway that was in disrepair and now it looks better than when it was originally installed. I would definitely use them should I need their services again."

Small jobs welcome

"Needed my front stoop rebuilt. After interviewing several contractors, I hired Dimassi and Sons. Met with Sal and everything went smoothly from first interview to final payment. Sal is courteous and professional and his rate is very reasonable. He walked me through the entire project so I knew the whats/wheres/and whens. We encountered one setback and Sal was on the job immediately to fix the problem so his workers could continue. His workers took minimal breaks and the entire job was done expeditiously. The job came out beautiful. So much so, that I'm already in negotiations with Sal to do more work at my house. I definitely recommend this guy for all your masonry needs."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

After removing existing moss, consider using paver blocking sand to fill the joints. This specialty material hardens once placed and serves as an effective barrier against moss and weeds. From there on, regularly clean your pavers and try to keep them dry. You can also seal your paver as a semi-permanent solution — just make sure you reseal every 3 to 5 years.

While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. On top of that, stamped concrete may only last for 25 years compared to pavers, which can last over 50 years.

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. However, while these other options require less maintenance and make snow removal a breeze, they’re more expensive and will need repairs from time to time. Ultimately, you’ll have to choose the road material that suits you and your property best.

A pallet of pavers will cost about $300 to $700 per pallet. Each pallet covers about 56 square feet. The specific price you pay per pallet of pavers will depend on a few factors, including the type of paver you’re buying, the size and shape of the pavers, and how many pavers you need. In some cases, you’ll spend less per pallet if you’re buying in bulk for very large paver patios.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.
