"we hired shawn and the expert handyman service to help with a a half bath reno. this removal of existing fixtures, adjusted plumbing for the new console, installation and painting of wainscotting, and then installation of owner supplied bath fixtures (new console, toilet, etc.). while we had some hiccups at the beginning in getting a time coordinated for an estimate, he did an amazing job and hope to get him again for our full bath reno and other work. quality work, clean, delivered on time and within the expected budget."

His help led me to find that the sellers were dishonest about the condition of and work done on their roof, and I purchased a different property in Hudson, NY. My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time. However, this was never a problem. Harold was always there, was immediately responsive, and never slacked off when I wasn't there. I plan to work with Harold as much as possible in the future as I continue to improve my Hudson home. I recommend him very highly."
